Health and safety first.
Choose fresh and clean sauerkraut and store it at a suitable temperature to avoid bacterial growth. Before cooking, don't forget to soak sauerkraut to remove dirt and bacteria on the surface!
Moderate consumption
Although sauerkraut is delicious, you can't be greedy! Pregnant women are advised to eat a small bowl every day (about 100g). Eating too much may upset their stomachs.
Salt intake should be controlled.
Sauerkraut has high salt content, and excessive intake may lead to edema and high blood pressure. Remember to eat less salt or use low-salt seasoning!
Pay attention to the meal time
It is best to enjoy sauerkraut after meals to avoid stomach upset. At the same time, don't eat with high-fat foods, so as not to affect digestion.
Pay attention to allergic reaction
If you are allergic to some ingredients in sauerkraut, such as nitrite, or have a history of allergies, stop eating immediately if you have allergic symptoms, and consult a doctor!
