It was destroyed by war in the early Yuan Dynasty. It was rebuilt during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty based on the Confucius Temple in Qufu, Shandong.
It has been rebuilt in the past dynasties.
The existing Academy was rebuilt in 1956, and the Sutra Pavilion was rebuilt in 1958.
The rebuilt Academy covers an area of ??16,000 square meters and has a construction area of ??3,225 square meters, forming an axial zigzag layout.
The main body of the Dacheng Hall is a relic of the Ming Dynasty. It has 5 rooms in width and 3 rooms in depth. It is surrounded by corridors and is 18 meters high. It is spectacular.
In 1994, a white jade statue of Confucius was re-erected in the hall, and Confucius' life stories were displayed.
