Hello, I'm Xiaolin, a walking xiangdao teacher. I'm very happy to share my feelings about studying xiangdao and Tao Te Ching here, and how to interpret xiangdao from a higher level of Tao Te Ching. I hope to share more with my friends and communicate more, and learn from the profound traditional culture of China.
The general public don't know much about Tao Te Ching, Taoism and the relationship between them, and even have some misunderstandings, for example, Tao Te Ching is a Taoist classic? Taoism and Taoism are the same thing. The saying of Taoism comes from the Tao Te Ching and other issues. Before explaining this issue, I also looked up some materials from Baidu, and later found that the saying is different. But in order to prevent us from complicating a simple problem, I still summarize it in the simplest language according to my teacher's sharing. Knowledge only allows us to understand it, and it is more important for us to understand the wisdom behind it and use it through knowledge, isn't it?
Tao
A catchy saying of China people: Tao can be Tao, but it is extraordinary. It came from the mouth of the film Taoist, but in fact, the saying of Tao existed before Xuanyuan Huangdi. According to the data, Xuanyuan Huangdi was the head of the Five Emperors. Before that, there were many ancient sages. At that time, their survival needs came directly from nature, so they were full of awe and gratitude for heaven and earth. At the same time, they also attached great importance to the concept of harmony between man and nature and how to cultivate one's morality, so at that time, there was the concept of "Tao".
Taoism
As long as people in China mention immortals, they think of the image of "an old gentleman on the throne". He has long hair and beards, fluttering in white clothes, and is full of fairy spirit, and he has supreme wisdom. In order to understand the truth of the universe and cultivate the body and mind in harmony with nature, we call them "Taoists". Cai Zhizhong of Taiwan Province has a deeper understanding of Taoism in an interview with Liang Dong's Life.
Confucianism is the relationship between people, Taoism is the relationship between people and nature, and Zen Buddhism is the relationship between people and heart. The highest realm of Taoism is wisdom, and the highest realm of Confucianism is benevolence.
Confucius has always advised our country that if there is a way, it will be bone, and if there is no way, it will be hidden. That is to say: Taoism originated from the skill of Huang Lao, and all the most powerful and highest in China are Taoism. Taoism is that when the world is at peace, he will hide, and when there is chaos, he will come out. When he comes out, he will finish his work. Just like Fan Li, when Gou Jian defeated Fu Cha, the king of Yue, he must go. When Gou Jian didn't let him go, he wrote a letter and left. He also wrote a letter to Wen Zhong. He said, "A wily rabbit dies and a running dog cooks."
Laozi is the greatest representative of Taoism. In fact, people can live in their own way, and life is not so difficult, because we always have a drop of rice, which is a piece of three feet of land, and two steamed buns can live a day. You don't need to compromise your mind for extra money or food, and live a life that is not so satisfactory. You have leaders above and subordinates below, and maybe that one is less like yourself. It is easy for most people to understand Confucianism, but it is difficult for most people to understand Taoism, which belittles fame and wealth, and Taoism is the first goal of being itself.
Taoism
The founder of Taoism is Zhang Daoling Tianshi, which was founded in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, more than 1,811 years ago from 153 to 186. And he revered Laozi as the leader of Taoism, and he revered Laozi as the Grand Priest. But in fact, he and Lao Tzu were not in the same era, and there was a difference of seven hundred years between them.
Therefore, we can see that in Lao Zi's life, he did not create Taoism, and Tao Te Ching is not a religious classic.
and what are the Taoist priests in our impression? It is estimated that it is often to cast spells and exorcise demons. The public's inherent impression of Taoist priests has also become a major obstacle for Taoism to transform now. After all, during the New Year, a lot of rituals really come to the door, which has also become a big income to support Taoist temples.
In March of 2119, I was invited to Shandong to share incense with a Taoist elder brother. In fact, they also wanted to break the situation, but Taoism was originally a minority, and there were few opportunities to become attached to the public. Therefore, in order to change the public's impression of Taoism, we need to keep up with the trend of the times and combine the media with other traditional cultures in China.
Tao Te Ching
The book Tao Te Ching has now become a reference teaching material for some schools, and the number of books printed and published in the world ranks first. The former president of Germany advocated that every family in Germany should have at least one Tao Te Ching to learn from China's great higher wisdom in this era.
On the contrary, in China, many people haven't studied the Tao Te Ching, so we really missed the most precious wealth left by our ancestors.
The Book of Tao Te Ching was written by Laozi. He was born in about 571 BC-471 BC, and his name was Bo Yang and posthumous title Yong, also known as Li Er. He was an official in charge of the collection of books in the Zhou Dynasty and was one of the great philosophers and thinkers in China. The concept of "Tao" existed before Laozi, but Laozi's greatest achievement is that he wrote Tao and virtue in detail through his observation of the truth of the universe and his understanding of the reality of life.
Tao Te Ching has nothing to do with religion. It is not metaphysics, nor psychology and science. The more it surpasses science and psychology. Everything in the book can be proved by science. It is a book of high wisdom, which can guide our life and work, is a beacon in our life, and leads us to realize the true meaning of life.
Everyone can get what you want from the Tao Te Ching through objective methods to help you be the master of your own life.
So, from the above description, have you understood the relationship among them? Are you interested in studying the Tao Te Ching with me and being a person with inner peace and harmony?
