The Fuyang Festival is a traditional Chinese food festival, which starts on the first day of Fuyang in the traditional lunar calendar every year and ends at the end of Fuyang, lasting for one month. "Eating Fuyang in Futian" has a long history in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, which can be traced back to the Yao and Shun period. Since ancient times, there has been a saying among the people in the Xuzhou area that "a bowl of soup is enough for a sheep, and there is no need for a miracle doctor to prescribe a prescription".

"Fu Yang" refers to the mutton after entering Fu Yang. "Book of Han·Yang Yun Zhuan" records: "The Tian family is suffering, and when the weather falls during the winter, the sheep and lambs will be fermented, and they will work themselves out by fighting with wine." Xuzhou Pengzu Fuyang Festival was awarded the title of Jiangsu Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage.
