Shanwei Tianjiabing Middle School was founded in 1995. It is a young new complete middle school.

The school was originally named Fengshan No. 2 Middle School, and later changed its name to Xinhu Middle School. In early 1998, Mr. Tian Jiabing, a well-known Hong Kong person, donated 4 million yuan to help the school build a school building. In June of the same year, the school was officially renamed Shanwei Tianjiabing Middle School.
