Geological landform
Zhenjiang District is located in the first and second mountain valleys between Zhenjiang and Wujiang. The landform has been in an intermittent rising state since the formation of Danxia Group in Cenozoic and Tertiary, and the flowing water has eroded strongly, forming steep mountains and multi-level relatively flat planation planes and valley terraces.
The geographical environment in this area consists of flowing water landform and karst landform, namely, plains, terraces, terraces, hills, mountains and other types. The plain is mainly formed by alluvial sediment brought by Zhenjiang, Wujiang River and the merged Beijiang River, which is mainly distributed in contiguous small plains such as regional cities and Lishi City. Terraces in urban areas are divided into five levels, one or two levels of flat land and three, four and five levels of high ground.
The hills are mainly distributed in the east and northeast of the area, mostly low mountains and hills, and the altitude is mostly below 200 meters; Most of the mountainous areas are located in the north, and a few are distributed in the southeast, mainly karst mountainous areas, mostly karst low mountains, with bare rocks on the hillside, stone buds and stone ditches all over, weathered residual soil and extremely thin red soil, which are hilly and mountainous landforms.
