Dongshan Youth was founded in May 1997 under the direct guidance of senior teacher Zhao Qinxuan with the attention and support of school leaders such as Lin Chunhong, Yan Wentao, Zheng Weiguang and Weng Shaoji. It was named Dongshan Youth, mainly to commemorate Dongshan magazine initiated by President Li Da in 1958 and Dongshan Youth Editorial Department initiated by President Li Guang in 1982. To show that the latecomers are homesick for drinking water, and dare not count the words and forget their ancestors. The purpose and direction of running a newspaper are as follows: 1. To build a position for socialist spiritual civilization; 2. A window reflecting the construction of campus culture; 3. Advocating quality education and spreading new ideas; 4. Purify the campus and improve the ideal of society.
Now this newspaper is a monthly report, with the spirit of "taking me as the main, learning from others' strengths, merging and refining, and becoming a family", we always adhere to the concept of running a newspaper with a heavy atmosphere. The newspaper is divided into four parts in the fourth year. The first time it is a communication edition, which mainly reports news related to the campus, such as the school anniversary, campus construction, art festival, sports festival, college entrance examination results, good deeds and the hygiene and health of the school canteen. In addition, it has set up four columns: "Teacher's Heart", "station agent", "Social Horizon" and "Campus Fax" "Teacher's Heart" is mainly for our correspondent to interview excellent teachers in the school and exchange learning methods and teaching experience. "station agent" is the school psychological consultation room, which mainly explains and counsels students' psychological problems; "social horizon" is to comment on some typical social phenomena; The "Campus Fax" publishes the main events that occur in the school every month to commemorate the mimeographed tabloid "One China Newsletter" found by teacher Liu Zuoming in 1982. The second edition is the American version, which mainly publishes the excellent works of a middle school student, including two important columns: "Kan clan" and "collecting manuscripts". The "Kan clan" is initiated by the literary society to discuss topics on campus regularly, collect excellent speeches on campus hot topics and publish them for reporting; "Picking up shells from manuscripts" is an excellent sentence in the works of students' proofreading. The third edition is a comprehensive edition. In the first half, there is a free forum where personal comments can be freely published, a new class composition published by students, and columns such as Hall of Literature and History, three pools mirroring the moon and Teachers' Literature Garden. In the second half, there is an art gallery to display excellent paintings and calligraphy works. The fourth edition is the supplement "Campanula bellata", which is designed to commemorate the handwritten tabloid "Campanula bellata" founded by a previous kind of enlightened students. It mainly includes "Alumni Picking up English" and publishing excellent works made by seniors who graduated from No.1 Middle School; "Foreign wind" is an excellent literary work handed over to the literary society by students from other schools; "Ancient Rhyme and Huazhang" publishes ancient poems created by students; "Ruoshui Poem" is a modern poem; "Writing while walking" is students' learning sentiment, essays, etc. A new column "The Sound of Blue Sea and Tide" has been set up, which mainly introduces the works of famous Chaoshan artists.
In recent years, with the attention and support of school leaders such as Hu Zhanhang, Yang Qisheng and Pan Jingfeng, and under the leadership of teacher Cheng Ruigang, this newspaper has exerted great influence in the society, especially among middle school students, and thus won the love of many celebrities and famous artists. Wang Guangying, Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress, Chen Jiangong, Vice Chairman and Secretary of the Secretariat of the Chinese Writers Association, Hao Bin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of Peking University, Secretary of the Secretariat of the Chinese Writers Association, Jin Jianfan, Editor-in-Chief of Wenyi Bao, Zhou Longbin, former Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Guangming Daily and network consultant, Wu Xiaoli and Xu Gehui, famous hosts of Hong Kong Phoenix TV, and Wang Furen and Chen Fangjing. Famous people in Chaoshan, such as Wu Nansheng, Li Xueguang, Yao Xuanqiu, Chen Xiaoqi, Wang Xingyuan, Lei Duo, Zhong Yongtian, Cai Jincai, Dong Jianwei, and young talents in Chaoyang, such as Xu Xuwen, Huang Jianchao, Wang Shaohui, Xiao Taosheng, Guo Daping and Guo Miansheng, have also shown great concern and support in Dongshan Youth. Dongshan youth cultivated Dongshan Millennium, and Dongshan Youth also cultivated Dongshan youth. In recent years, Dongshan Youth's articles have not only been compiled into books such as National Excellent Works Review of Middle School Students and Grand View of Excellent Works of National Literary Societies, but also published in national journals such as Green Leaves, Middle School Students, China New Generation and Chinese World, and also edited and published the book Ringing in the Wind, a collection of campus literature works of Chaoyang No.1 Middle School.

▲ In 1964, No.1 Middle School founded the mimeographed tabloid of No.1 Middle School Newsletter.
