Yunnan South Road Food Street is located in Huangpu District in the center of Shanghai, starting from Jinling East Road in the south and ending at Yan 'an East Road in the north, with a total length of 251 meters. It was founded in September, 1991 when the first Huangpu Tourism Festival was organized. It was originally named "Great World Food Street", renamed "Shanghai Food Street" in September, 1992, and renamed "Yunnan South Road Food Street" in September, 1998. In September, 1999, Yunnan South Road Food Street was named as one of the first (11) Shanghai commercial specialty streets in the first municipal commercial characteristic street selection in Shanghai. Yunnan South Road Food Street has the reputation of "stepping into Yunnan Road, eating delicious food, drooling countless times".
