Although historical and cultural sites are not as colorful as natural scenery, they can make people feel the labor wisdom of ancient people, which is my own tourism income.

Jiaohe Old Town was founded and built by Che Shifen from the 2nd century BC to the 5th century BC, and reached its peak in the Southern and Northern Dynasties and the Tang Dynasty. From the 9th century to the 14th century, because of its strategic position, it has been fighting for years and gradually declined. During the Chahetai period at the end of Yuan Dynasty, Jiaohe City was the first to bear the brunt of years of war in Turpan, which was severely damaged and eventually abandoned. Jiaohe Old City is located on an island platform 13 kilometers west of Turpan, Xinjiang, and looks like a willow leaf. Because the river flows around the city, it is called Jiaohe. It was originally the capital of "the former country of the car driver", one of the 36 countries in the Western Region.

Jiaohe Old Town is the largest, oldest and best-preserved earth building city in the world, and it is also the most complete urban relic preserved in China for more than 2, years. The highest military and political institution in the Western Regions of Tang Dynasty, Anxi Duhu House, was first located in Jiaohe Old Town. In 1961, it was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit. On June 22nd, 214, at the 38th session of UNESCO World Heritage Committee held in Doha, Qatar, Jiaohe Old Town was successfully listed in the World Heritage List as a site in the Silk Road: Road Network of Chang 'an-Tianshan Corridor jointly applied by China, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Why are so many babies buried here? Is it disease, war or martyrdom? It is still inconclusive.
