According to folklore, when Emperor Qianlong visited the south of the Yangtze River, he heard that Ji Xiaolan, the minister, introduced snacks from Lingnan and western Guangdong, which were more flavor-oriented, so he became interested and decided to visit western Guangdong secretly. One day, Gan Long came to Zhanjiang in western Guangdong. In the market, he only saw ordinary people eating white strips of food with relish around the booth. Emperor Qianlong was very curious and asked the local officials around him. Local officials said: "This is rice food, called vermicelli." After hearing this, Gan Long also asked for a dish to enjoy. After eating, he even boasted: "Good, good, good, cool, tender and slippery. There is really something delicious in western Guangdong! " And said, "This vermicelli is shaped like pig intestines." Since the emperor opened the golden mouth, the name of rice rolls pig has spread all over Zhanjiang, which is the origin of the word rice rolls in folklore.
