Before reading Manabu Sato's teaching thoughts, we must think about a question: Why should we read Manabu Sato? I think I can help you answer this question for three reasons.
What does this sentence mean?
If you want to be a teacher and an excellent teacher, you need to study. So, what books to read?
In educational classics, we have such a distinction. One is called original classics, such as Plato's Republic, Rousseau's Emile and Dewey's Democracy and Education. These books can be regarded as representative books that opened the era of human education. They are the magical powers of Jiuyang and Yijinjing in martial arts novels. Once they are understood, they can get through the second pulse of Ren Du and get a thorough update.
However, this kind of book is not practical. The original books of Utopia, Emile, Democracy and Education and Educational Theory can't teach you how to teach, prepare lessons and manage students. And if you don't know how to teach, you can't really understand education and read these original works. This forms a vicious circle.
Therefore, it takes a lifetime to understand the original. Never expect love at first sight, but wait for a long life together. Prospective teachers who have not entered the profession need not care for the time being. It is better to teach for a year or two before learning. If you encounter that situation! Your feeling here means it's time.
There is also a book that belongs to the experience works of famous teachers, such as teaching plans, such as management experience. It belongs to the technique, similar to Jiuyin Bones Claw, Yue Nv Sword, and Five Tiger Breaking Knives. It is very practical, and after reading it, it takes a long time to make extraordinary moves immediately. However, it should be noted that these books vary from person to person and cannot be read for a long time. Guo Jing practiced sword of the yue maiden, which was very painful. Yang Kang practiced the nine Yin bones claws and became more insidious. What do you mean? It is easy for a person to go astray when reading skills that are not suitable for him. If he only reads educational books that suit him, his vision will be narrowed as time goes by, and he will repeat another person's experience forever. This kind of books suggest reading a lot before and at the beginning of employment, which can quickly help you imagine and establish the basic classroom structure. Once you enter the real classroom, some experiences will emerge immediately, seize them, find their sources, and then study them in depth.
So, what books are best for new teachers to learn? It is a combination of theory and technology, and a combination of concept and realization. In other words, you should not only survive in education, but also learn the meaning of survival. There are many such books, and Manabu Sato is one of them.
Mr Manabu Sato has a high position in the theoretical circle. In China, there are a series of books, The Library of New Theories of World Curriculum and Teaching, which are required reading for many educational theorists. As far as I'm concerned, it includes two books by Mr. Manabu Sato. This example is to prove Mr. Manabu Sato's theoretical position.
Most importantly, Mr Manabu Sato is more than just a theorist. He has been attending classes in various schools for 20 years in a row, communicating with teachers and forming a learning community, which has a local flavor that other course experts in the ivory tower have no at all.
For example, Mr. Manabu Sato used the word "Runze" to locate a perfect classroom, and then explained how to create a perfect classroom and how to establish the relationship between teachers and students through this word. I was deeply impressed when I read his theory. It has both macro guidance and specific methods, and it is perfectly integrated.
If you want to know more about this word, we will discuss it in detail in the next issue.
Combining the two, we must read Manabu Sato.
Every teacher will bring these great words full of ideals and love to the post of education. But after two or three years, everyone has scars. There is a simple reason. At first, we simplified education. Then we were simplified by the world.
Why do you say that? Because the average teacher has just joined the job, we only know how to be diligent, work hard and care for every child, but we don't know the skills and key points of education. Then we will learn some simple forms and follow the practice of others to educate. By doing it, you gradually become a behavior imitator, only knowing how to follow others' instructions and finish the work step by step. For example, at first you thought that the company you entered was Microsoft, not Apple. But after doing it for a while, you find that you live in Foxconn. Therefore, remind those students who have not yet become teachers that they must pay attention.
How to change this behavior? Is it a form of refusing the regulations of the school unit and doing whatever you want? No, you'd better follow someone else before you answer it yourself. But the difference is that you will think about the content behind each painting. When you are thinking about this problem, it is important to have a sand, a world, a leaf and a bodhi. You discovered the truth after a simple act.
Mr Manabu Sato mentioned an important word "the myth of subjectivity". It can be said that these five words are closely related to many ills of education in China today.
Why is there a legend of Dulangkou? The teacher was only asked to speak for five minutes.
Why should we encourage diversified interpretations? Every child has his own understanding of an article, and every understanding is correct. Let's just say that, shall we?
As long as every child raises his hand and talks like a cloud, is this an efficient and successful class?
The above problems are the problems of the education circles in China. Later, there will be a special issue on the myth of subjectivity to help you find the right way of thinking, gain a pair of discerning eyes and see all kinds of fascinating phenomena clearly. For another example, everyone who cares about and engages in education will ask himself what a perfect classroom should be like. Everyone has his own opinion on this problem.
As mentioned earlier, Manabu Sato's most popular book in China is called Silent Revolution. There are two editions of this book in Chinese mainland. One version was published by Changchun Publishing House in 2003 and translated by Li Jimei, a professor at East China Normal University and an expert on children's psychological development and education. There is a more recent version, which was published by Education Science Press at the end of 20 14. The translator is unknown. The previous edition was of high quality, but its circulation was average. The latter version is great. I haven't checked the specific circulation, but it has been a popular educational book for at least four or five consecutive years, ranking among the best in various lists.
From the time of publication, we can find that after the first edition was published, this book did not continue to be popular, but was silent for a long time, and was suddenly valued and excavated. What is the reason for this?
It's actually quite simple. In these nine years, China has experienced a great educational reform. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), China has carried out eight curriculum reforms, of which the most dynamic one started at 200 1. In this year, the Ministry of Education of China issued the Outline of Education Reform, which explicitly mentioned a sentence: "Change the current situation that the curriculum structure is too subject-oriented, too many subjects, and lacks integration, and set up a nine-year consistent curriculum category and class hour ratio as a whole, and set up a comprehensive curriculum to meet the development needs of different regions and students, reflecting the balance, comprehensiveness and selectivity of the curriculum structure. "What does this sentence mean? Simply put, it is impossible to teach textbooks as before, but to integrate disciplines and link teaching with life. 200 1 I believe that today's new teachers should just enter primary school. If you remember, there were many forms of sudden changes in the school at that time. For example, emphasize class speech and avoid using scores to evaluate, and there is another thing called growth record bag.
This situation lasted for ten years. It can be said that in the past ten years, countless people have been thinking, tossing, exploring and panning for gold. However, ten years later, we found that it seems that many problems are illusory and bustling, but they have not changed in essence. So around 20 1 1, we began to reflect again and began to think about the comprehensive curriculum for the second time. At this stage, Manabu Sato focused on the creation of classrooms and the research and development direction of comprehensive courses.
So, what is the value of Manabu Sato's exploration of comprehensive learning? This is a topic that we need to focus on later. In a word, Manabu Sato suddenly became a hot expert in China at this stage. In my opinion, Manabu Sato has visited China several times a year in recent years. My unit also organized Mr. Manabu Sato's activities, but unfortunately, I was in charge of another project at that time, and I couldn't attend, which was very regrettable.
These are three reasons why I recommend Manabu Sato. However, it should be noted that anyone's opinion has its limitations. In fact, I will express some thoughts and opinions on the specific issue of Manabu Sato later. From a certain point of view, it is difficult to become a Buddha without entering several temples, meeting several bodhisattvas and breaking several mountain gates. I hope that in the next period of time, we can learn more about Manabu Sato and Manabu Sato, which will provide us with direction and energy for understanding education and mastering teaching.
Let's call it a day. This is just an introduction. In the next issue, we will enter the actual combat stage. I will focus on how Mr. Manabu Sato views the creation of a perfect classroom.
