Wuzhi County is located in the northwest of Henan Province and the southeast of Jiaozuo City, at the intersection of the Yellow River and Qin River, between 34°56′~35°10′ north latitude and 113°10′~113°39′ east longitude.

It borders Huojia County and Yuanyang County of Xinxiang City to the east, Boai County and Wen County to the west, Xiuwu County to the north, and faces Xingyang City of Zhengzhou City on the south by the Yellow River.
