The whole town has a bamboo forest area of 41,4 mu (divided into two categories: Phyllostachys pubescens and Phyllostachys praecox), with an annual output of 16,9 tons (four-season Phyllostachys pubescens and Phyllostachys praecox) and an output value of 3.42 million yuan. In 21, it was named as "the hometown of bamboo shoots in Zhejiang Province" and "the hometown of Phyllostachys praecox in Zhejiang Province" by the Provincial Forestry Bureau. The bamboo shoot industry in Pingshui town is famous for its bamboo shoot production in four seasons and the thick covering technology of Phyllostachys praecox chaff. Among them, Tongkang Modern Forestry Park and Meiyuan Leizhu Demonstration Park are both included in the provincial forest food base and the provincial forestry bureau director's science and technology demonstration site. Tongkang Modern Forestry Demonstration Park has also been listed as one of the core parks of the provincial key forestry characteristic base, covering an area of 1,5 mu, radiating "ten thousand mu of contiguous four-season bamboo shoot forest". By popularizing and applying three new technologies, the base has improved the bamboo shoot yield per mu from 55 kg to 1,5 kg, and the output value per mu from 1,28 yuan to 3,6 yuan, with economic benefits. At present, the industrialization mode of "enterprise+base+farmer" in bamboo shoot production in Pingshui Town has been formed. There are more than 1 bamboo and bamboo shoot processing enterprises in the town, among which Shaoxing Huaying Bamboo Products Co., Ltd., a Sino-foreign cooperative, has an annual sales of 2 million yuan and produces more than 3 varieties in five categories. The products are mainly exported to Japan and South Korea. Bamboo shoots are mainly cooked with dried vegetables, and the products have become one of the main export agricultural and sideline products after Pingshuizhu tea.
