Brief introduction of Yaogong Temple
The traditional domain name of Hefei-Yaogong Temple is a few hundred meters south of the South Second Ring Road under the viaduct of Jinzhai Road in Hefei. Covering an area of 1.9 hectares, and total resident population of12,249 people. Yao Gong Temple originally refers to a temple dedicated to Yao Xing, a famous anti-gold star in the Southern Song Dynasty. There were three temples in Hefei to commemorate Yao Xing, all of which were destroyed by fire. During Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty, people rebuilt this temple in memory of Yao Xing, commonly known as Yaogong Temple, which was located at 16 miles south of Hefei, and it gradually became the name of this area. 196 1 year, Yaogong Village was established here. When the planning of Hefei was adjusted in 2002, Yaogong Village was placed under Changqing Street, Baohe District, Hefei City, and Yaogong Village also became Yaogong Community Neighborhood Committee. However, whether in Yaogong Village or in Yaogong Community now, Hefei people have always used old habits to call this place Yaogong Temple.
