Grandma's cookbook
The story of time hidden in wrinkles
is wonderful. I came across this documentary on reading software. At first, I read a book called Grandma knows best, and then I learned that there was a food documentary with the same name.
The host is a young man from England who loves China cuisine-Mi. After reading his profile, he won the second prize in the 1th Chinese Bridge Competition. Haha.
As the title of the program suggests, the protagonist of this food documentary is Grandma. The program group visited eight regions in China, including Anhui, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Hainan, Guangxi, Guizhou, Sichuan and Yunnan, and visited 16 grandmothers, which not only explored the local customs, but also excavated their food stories.
Gourmet has no borders. The documentary shows 18 traditional ethnic dishes made by 16 grandmothers, and the host Mi also made 16 creative dishes with Chinese and Western fusion and gave them back to grandma.
We can appreciate the profoundness of food culture, understand the thoughts of grandmothers in dishes, and learn how to make delicious food.
As the program group "Grandma Knows Best" said, they hope to arouse the younger generation's interest in cooking, arouse the memory of city people about home, and explore the role and importance of the elderly in the present society.
I recommend this documentary and book about grandmothers to everyone. I hope that we can all understand the hardships and love of grandmothers, and I hope that the kind and patient grandmothers will go all the way to the sun.
