It opened in 2024. The second phase of Chongqing Metro Line 8 starts from Liyuchi Station, the end of the first phase, and ends at Tangjiatuo Station. There are 6 stations, namely: Liyuchi Station, Wulidian Station, Yemaoxi Station, Dashiba Station, Guanyinqiao Station and Lijiaping Station. After the project is opened to traffic, it will further alleviate the traffic congestion problem in the central city of Chongqing.

The opening of the second phase of Line 8 will provide residents along the line with more convenient modes of travel and reduce their commuting time and transportation costs.
