The Prisoner of the Gourmet is another cartoon created by Japanese cartoonist Shimabag Lightyear after Biography of the Leaders at the End of the Century, and serialized in Youth Leap Weekly. Taiwan Province Province was serialized in Treasure Island Boys.

This is a fantasy adventure cartoon, depicting a fantasy food world full of exotic ingredients. Ingredients include: wild animals, whose meat melts between their tongues and flows out with a layer of oil, trees with delicious shrimp and crab meat all year round, and spring water flowing out of the endless aromatic brandy.
