On May 28, 2004, Shenzhen Satellite TV began trial broadcasting.

On June 28, 2004, Shenzhen Satellite TV was officially launched as a star. That year, the channel’s ratings ranked 27th in the country.

Since 2006, the viewership share of the group's radio and TV programs has continued to rise, and the group's TV program market share has exceeded the combined market share of all 16 Hong Kong and overseas TV channels in Shenzhen.

In 2006, the first Chinese Kung Fu Star Global TV Competition held by Shenzhen Satellite TV was a success.

On April 20, 2006, Shenzhen Satellite TV landed in Guangzhou.

From January to September 2007, Shenzhen Satellite TV's ranking of provincial satellite TV ratings among 32 cities also improved significantly, with its average ratings share ranking rising from 19th in 2006 to 14th.

In 2008, full coverage was rolled out in 35 provincial capital cities, municipalities directly under the Central Government, and cities under separate state planning, and the ratings rose to 15th in the country.

On April 30, 2008, Shenzhen Satellite TV teamed up with Hong Kong Cable to create the Olympic countdown information service program "Olympic Passport".

On May 16, 2008, with the occurrence of the May 12 Wenchuan earthquake, Shenzhen Satellite TV broadcast live the "Earthquake Relief Shenzhen Love Fundraising Gala".

On July 3, 2008, Shenzhen Satellite TV launched a special summer schedule, broadcasting a series of cartoons, sitcoms, youth idols, urban emotional dramas and costume martial arts dramas.

On July 6, 2008, Shenzhen Satellite TV launched the music game program "The Most Popular Songs".

Focusing on "Live Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan" broadcast at 8pm every Monday to Friday, "Deep View News" broadcast at 7:30pm every night and "Decryption" broadcast at 9pm

On July 1, 2009, Shenzhen Satellite TV (Channel 62) landed in Shanghai, becoming the first prefecture-level TV station.

In December 2010, Hong Kong Asia Television began to broadcast the channel through Digital Channel 17 throughout the day, covering the entire territory of Hong Kong.

In 2011, Meiland's national TV channel coverage data showed that Shenzhen Satellite TV covered a population of 814 million, an increase of 61 million from 2010, ranking 10th among provincial satellite TVs in the country.

Shenzhen Satellite TV has also landed in Japan, South Korea, Thailand, the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and broadcasts 24 hours a day through two sets of programs.

On January 1, 2011, Shenzhen Satellite TV revised its format and adjusted some programs.

The broadcast time of "Deep View News" has been advanced from 19:30 to 18:30 every night, and news collection, production and news broadcast are fully high-definition.

The news column "Live from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan" has been changed to broadcast at 21:25 every night.

In 2012, Shenzhen Satellite TV's "The Show of the Year" ranked second in the country in ratings; "The Age of Naked Marriage" ranked sixth in the country in overall ratings, and the highest-rated single episode ranked second in the country, with more than 100 million video views.
