In an important post station, there is a shop every ten miles, such as Rudong Post Road. The first shop is Dongpu, and its address is outside Chaotianmen (it was changed to Wenchang Men Site Site in Qing Dynasty, and this place is called Dongputou, which has become a classic old place name); The second store is Chilingpu (now north of People's Square); The third store, Hemingpu (now under the cloud cave rock); The fourth store is Ma Qi store; The fifth shop is Jiangdongpu (Jiangdong Bridge West); The sixth shop is Shijingpu (60 miles away from the city, the old site has disappeared); The seventh shop is Longjiang Store (70 miles from downtown, the site has disappeared). According to today's mileage calculation, the distance between the seven stores on East Road is still the standard ten miles (that is, five kilometers). "Paving the road" has become the unit of measurement for Zhangzhou villagers to calculate their trips, which is derived from it.
