Qian Weichang, former vice chairman of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and academician of China Academy of Sciences, laid the foundation stone for the college. On April 29th, 2, Jinan University signed an agreement with Zhuhai Municipal Government to further cooperate in the construction of Zhuhai College, and moved it from Tangjiawan to Qianshan Town, which is only ten minutes' drive from Macau.
