The cities currently awarded the title of "City of Gastronomy" by UNESCO are Popayan in Colombia, Chengdu in China, ?tsund in Sweden, Zahle in Lebanon, Jeonju in South Korea, Shunde in Guangdong in China, and Macau in China. .

In February 2010, Chengdu, China, was approved to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network and was awarded the title of "City of Gastronomy". Shunde, Guangdong was awarded the title of "City of Gastronomy" in the world by the UNESCO Creative Cities Network on December 1, 2014. The Macau Special Administrative Region of China also joined the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in November 2017 and was awarded the title of "City of Gastronomy".
