West Jiuhua Mountain, located in the southeast corner of Henan Province, is located in the southeast of Gushi County, a county directly under the central government. It belongs to the middle part of Dabie Mountains, and is a national 4A-level scenic spot with an ornamental area of 80 square kilometers. It is the largest eco-tourism resort integrating tea, bamboo, Zen and mountains in the Central Plains. [1] Miaogao Temple, located in the middle of West Jiuhua Mountain in southern Henan Province, covers an area of more than 80 mu and is surrounded by bamboo forests. It was listed as a key cultural protection unit in Henan Province on 1995 and opened to the public as a Buddhist activity place designated by the Henan Provincial People's Government. Miaogao Temple was built in Sui Dynasty. Historically known as the Great Buddha Temple, Huayan Temple and Dizang Temple. It was the first scene of the Central Plains in front of Huashan Mountain in Anhui Province. After Xiben Temple was unsealed in Ming Dynasty, Miaogao Temple became the ancestral home of Dawushan School in Lin Ji. Since its establishment, it has been popular for 56 generations. At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, the famous monk Dianzhu Qi rebuilt Miaogao Temple, making Miaogao Temple the most famous Buddhist shrine at the junction of Hubei, Henan and Anhui. [2] Liu Meng Canyon Landscape Corridor is a canyon scenic spot, with a total length of about 3 kilometers, and the Liumeng River runs through the canyon from beginning to end. There are six waterfalls in the scenic area, the most famous of which is Bailongtan Waterfall, which is very spectacular. There are rich plant species in the canyon. In spring, all kinds of wild orchids quietly open in the valley, and the empty valley is elegant. A tree on the rock is in full bloom, like a red cloud floating in the valley. In midsummer, the valley is shaded by sunshine, cool and refreshing, and the temperature is 2~3 degrees Celsius lower than the average temperature outside the valley. This is a rare summer resort. In autumn, the warm colors such as red maple and cotinus coggygria in the valley complement the cold green colors such as tea trees, fir trees and bamboo forests, and a well-defined color picture is reflected in the quiet deep pool. In winter, the valley is covered with silver, which will form a unique ice waterfall landscape. Liu Meng Canyon Landscape Corridor is the essence of the natural landscape of West Jiuhua Mountain and a tourist attraction that should not be missed. [4]
