Hundred cows cross the river every day in the ancient town of Zhou Zi.

Bainiu Crossing the River is located in Jialing River section of Youfanggou Village, Xiangru Town, Peng 'an County, Sichuan Province. Every spring, a hundred cows cross the river to become a scene of Jialing River. After Jialing River flows through Peng 'an County, Sichuan Province, two huge islands in the river, Sun Island and Moon Island, are formed due to the scouring and sediment deposition of the river.

From late spring to early autumn, in the morning, hundreds of cattle swim to the island in groups from the bank of Jialing River to eat grass. At dusk, the cows went into the water and swam back to shore. This ecological wonder is called "crossing the river with a hundred cows".

crossing the river with a hundred cows is a by-product of the construction of Mahui Hydropower Station. Before 1994, the water level in Youfanggou village of Jialing River was not high, so cattle could walk directly to the island to eat grass.

Since p>1994, the water level of Jialing River has risen due to the impoundment of Mahui Power Station. Every year from late spring to early autumn, cows can't resist the temptation of "delicious food" on the other side, and still wade across the river to eat grass on the island. Over time, they have formed the habit of crossing the river to the island at sunrise and wading back to the fence at sunset every day. As a result, the scene of "a hundred cows crossing the river" gradually took shape.
