Books are my favorite.
I like reading. I like to find a secluded place, sit down, and read with relish. I was often made laugh by the humorous stories in the book, and moved to tears by the sad plots in the book.
Actually, I didn’t like reading books before, but my mother bought me a lot of books. I thought the books were boring and boring, so I didn’t even read them, let alone read them.
However, by chance, I fell in love with reading. It was a weekend when I was in third grade. My parents went out and I was the only one left at home. Oh, I was so bored. Suddenly, out of boredom, I accidentally discovered a pile of books on the desk. I picked up a copy of "Andersen's Fairy Tales" and flipped through a few pages. As I looked at it, I seemed to have entered the world of fairy tales. Here, I seemed to see the poor little match girl, and I seemed to be crying sadly for her tragic fate.
I seemed to be happy for the clever Hans, sighing deeply for the beautiful mermaid, and secretly cheering for Thumbelina... I didn't expect that in a seemingly simple and boring book, there are so many things in it. But it contains such a colorful world. I read every word in the book greedily, like "a hungry man pounces on bread." I have been obsessed with a small and inconspicuous book... I didn't even know that my mother was back. It wasn't until my mother called me back from the fairy tale world that I realized that I had been wandering in the world of books for an afternoon. But I still reluctantly put down the book.
Since then, I have fallen deeply in love with reading. It has become a part of my soul and plays an important role in my heart. It has become the best friend in my life. When I am bored, it relieves my boredom and tells me some wonderful stories; it becomes my lifelong teacher and gives me rich and colorful knowledge.
