As the Chinese New Year is approaching, you can see soy sauce meat (chicken) hanging on bamboo poles from house to house in the streets and alleys of Wenzhou. It is very spectacular! The surface of the soy sauce meat is brown, which means that the coming year will be prosperous.
2. Duck tongue.
Needless to say, Wenzhou people love duck tongue.
It means choosing one from a hundred, which is both precious and delicious.
3. Eel.
Fresh eels are slaughtered and sliced ??open from the back, hung in a shaded and ventilated place to dry naturally, and then steamed before eating.
"鲲" in Wenzhou dialect is pronounced the same as "think", which means smart and progressive.
4. Fish cakes.
The fish cakes made with fish, fatty meat and tofu are extremely fresh and tender.
Almost every family in Wenzhou will make fish cakes, steam them and cut them into pieces, dip them in soy sauce and vinegar and eat them! As a traditional Wenzhou dish, it contains the wisdom and simplicity of Wenzhou people.
5. Celery and pig ears.
Crunchy pig ears and celery, the color and texture go well together, making it a great dish to go with wine.
