Taishan Academy belongs to the famous scenic spot of Yuxi cultural landscape.

Taishan's ancient name was Huanpen Mountain, also known as Luofu Mountain, and was renamed Mopan Mountain.

The top of the mountain is as flat and round as the moon, surrounded by seven hills. In the past, it was called the Seven Stars Gongming the Moon.

Zhongtai Mountain overlooks Xingyun Lake in front and Seven Star Tower in the back. The shells overlap, the surroundings are flat, and the middle rises, with towering ancient trees and beautiful scenery.

In the first year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1644), more than ten monks from the Henan area of ??my country passed by Taishan. In the eighteenth year of Guangxu (1892), Li Pushan, a fishing village, passed the external examination and became a county magistrate.

The fishing village government used the revenue from public land to successively build the second hall (Guanyin Hall) and the third hall (Confucius Hall upstairs, Minglun Hall downstairs) and the wing rooms on both sides, built a garden, and held office in the back hall (Three Halls).

A Buddhist hall was built, and Buddhist scriptures were lectured by Fu Dingchuan from the fishing village.

The existing plaque of Taishan Academy was written by Gao Zhaozhong (a native of Xiangcheng, Henan) in the 21st year of Guangxu's reign (1895).

This is evidence that Taishan Temple Temple was used to run the academy.

In the 22nd year of Guangxu (1896), the front hall of Taishan Temple and three wing rooms on both sides were added, with a courtyard in the middle.

In the past, Taishan Academy had towering ancient trees, dazzling array of couplets on its plaques (now on the south coast of Yang Jiashan's plaque), hundreds of birds singing, and flocks of egrets.

Taishan Academy has gone through many vicissitudes. Although the old trees are sparse and still towering, the egrets have disappeared and the famous couplets have disappeared.

What is worth comforting is that since Jiangchuan County Vocational High School was opened in Taishan in 1983, walls have been built around Taishan and strict protection measures have been taken to protect Taishan Academy.

The first hall of Taishan Temple was renovated, and the second hall, third hall and wing rooms on both sides, which were already dilapidated, were demolished and rebuilt.

All kinds of existing ancient trees have been protected as much as possible.
