This issue must be analyzed from both macro and political and economic aspects. 1. Macro Politics As can be seen from the resumes of the current and previous party secretaries, the previous one focused on transportation, while the current one focused on maintaining stability and ethnic issues (and also had management experience in religious issues). Urumqi is the geographical center of Asia, and Xinjiang is an important bridgehead in terms of geographical location and strategic location. Why seven? If we only talk about the past five years, then it is nothing more than infrastructure to boost GDP, ease traffic, benefit the people and solve employment. 2. What if the macro economy is 2 years? What about 3 years? What about 5 years? Why did such a big investment go to Urumqi? I said before when I answered other questions that there was no hope in Urumqi. The main point is at least in the last 3 years, because for Zhihu users, 3 years is enough to decide their fate. (Our youngest is 15 years old and the oldest is 4 years old.) Children who invest in our children by the government may benefit, because the transportation infrastructure construction has been slowly completed, the religious problem has been slowly solved, the national integration problem has been slowly repaired, and the introduction of foreign businessmen has been gradually strengthened (neighboring countries, as well as the Pakistani port of Guaxx). In order to reduce the distance to Europe, Xinjiang has started to build factories as a base (transportation cost). A large number of outstanding talents from the mainland began to come with the arrival of enterprises, and the outstanding talents from Xinjiang also came back with the development of Xinjiang, slowly learning advanced technology. This development is a benign development direction, and the picture is too beautiful to see! (Whether there will be other factors depends on how history interprets it.) So how many subways are there now? Two are enough for Urumqi. Now the permanent population is less than 5 million. With the collapse of real estate, the number of migrant workers will continue to decrease, so it is enough to play chess. Some people look at the whole country for one step, some people look at it for three steps, and some people look at the whole country for 1 years. Although there is political competition, no matter what the speed of the country, it is basically a directional development. It is only allowed to build subways without digging in China. Let's compare the number of subways in cities with a population of one million in the west. Berlin has 3,496,3 people as of September 3th, 215. There are 1 subways and 143 stations.
as of December 31, 213, Cologne has a population of 1,24,373, and has 12 subway lines, which is a city that is not the capital and the capital of its state. Milan has a population of 1,35,267 by June 212. There are four ready-made subways and two lines under construction, with 113 stations. In the construction of the subway system, the capital of the region, the population is much less, and it is basically a control group. All the examples are given here. Urumqi, as an important town in the western region with a population of 3 million, is a level city in all European countries, and there will be no operational problems in the seven subways. As we all know. The subway owned by white people is cheap and convenient. The subway in the yellow-skinned vegetable country is expensive and harmful to the environment. I don't understand ... how many times a pound or a dollar 1 years ago is now? The country wants to attract more people and enterprises by vigorously transforming Urumqi's infrastructure. The construction of subway network in Urumqi is only a small part of Urumqi's development plan. How can Urumqi attract foreign talents and retain local young people without improving these infrastructures? It is precisely because of the great construction of Urumqi in recent years that the brain drain has been reduced and foreign enterprises and talents have been attracted. There is no way to develop and expand the old city of Urumqi surrounded by mountains on three sides, so now Urumqi is developing to the north, the north and south are long and the east and west are narrow, the transit time between the north and south of ordinary buses is long, and the traffic congestion is very serious. There is no place to build roads and rebuild, so we can only dig underground subways to evacuate some people. Two or three north-south lines in Urumqi are enough now, but seven or eight subway lines in Urumqi in the future according to the national plan are not enough. A leader in Urumqi told me that "the doll will go back to Urumqi to buy a house after graduation, and the future of Urumqi will be terrible." The future Urumqi will replace Xi' an as the first city in northwest China, and the future population of Urumqi will not be as small as three million or more than two million now. According to the planning and construction of Urumqi New District, the future population of Urumqi will exceed five or six million in the next twenty or thirty years.
