"Last Night's Curry, Tomorrow's Bread" is a TV series broadcast on NHK BS Premium from October 5, 2014 to November 16, 2014. I mention the time because this drama is different from most Japanese dramas, it only has 7 episodes. When this drama aired, it was aired at the same time as the popular drama "Sorry for Youth" and the popular work "For N", so it seemed a bit inconspicuous. I didn't pursue it at the time because I really didn't like the heroine (from my personal point of view, I refused to fight), but later I couldn't resist the temptation because the screenwriter was my favorite Izumi Muhara. What's more important is that this drama is adapted from the first novel written by Izumi Kisara.
My thoughts after reading this are: I drank the chicken soup made by Mu Sangquan.
Everyone and everything in the play, even the small drops of water falling on the plate in the empty mirror, are so beautiful, and even Zhongli Yisa doesn’t look so annoying o(* ̄︶ ̄* )o. ?
In my opinion, the theme of this drama is the above passage. Everyone has been under a spell and been trapped in place, but how lucky they were to get the spell to undo the spell.
After the death of her husband Kazuki Terayama (played by Gen Hoshino), Tetsuko (played by Naka Riisa) did not move away. Instead, she lived with her father-in-law Terayama Rentaro (played by Shikaga Joeshi) for seven years. When Kazuki fell ill, the two of them came out of the hospital late every night and dragged their exhausted bodies home. Day after day, as if under a spell, I was trapped in a life waiting for death. One day, on their way home, the two saw a bakery that was still open late at night. I bought freshly baked bread and held it in my arms, feeling warm in my hands. You and I hug each other for a while, and then we laugh. The spell is broken.
Tetsuko is dating Masaharu Iwai (played by Junpei Mizohata) from the same company. Iwai is a warm-hearted man. After his proposal was rejected, he still stayed with Tetsuko sincerely. Tetsuko doesn't want to get married because she doesn't want to forget Kazuki yet. She doesn't want to let go yet, she wants to stay where she is. When Kazuki was buried, she secretly kept a bone. The candy box with the bones in it stayed with her every day, like a spell.
How is the spell broken? Silly Zhengchun met a primary school student on the road who seemed to want to jump into the river. In order to save the elementary school student's life, he agreed and lent her 4.8 million yen... To be cautious, he also drew three magic cards for the elementary school student... The two made an appointment with the elementary school student to spend money on him after working, and Masaharu He believed it, because a promise is a promise... Even so, he still told Tetsuko with a smile that he thought 4.8 million yuan was worth saving a life... Although the money came back in the end, this made Tetsuko realize that maybe, in life, Good things do exist.
Gonggongjishan Rentaro was also bound by a spell. He was addicted to playing small steel balls and couldn't stop himself, until his wife handed him the kitchen knife and said that if he was still addicted to small steel balls, he would stab her to death first. Rentaro looked at his wife's white and strong neck and the blood vessels hidden under the skin, and suddenly realized that his wife had been bearing such a heavy burden. The spell is broken.
"When the gorgeous lights go out and the music stops, only the sound of countless small steel balls flowing in the machine is left. Only then will I suddenly realize why I am in such a murderous and cruel place. . But if you think about it, survival itself may not necessarily feel like this. It is precisely because the nature of survival is so cruel that people have to dress up brightly, enjoy good food, and try to spend every day with laughter. " < /p>
My father-in-law is envious of the neighbor’s couple who play tennis together and have a good relationship, and he also wants to develop some hobbies. Tetsuko introduces the mountain girl Ogawa Riko (played by Yoshida Sheep) to him. The two climb mountains together. Ogawa Riko is also a person who is under a spell. Her fiancé left her for another woman before they got married. Ogawa became obsessed with mountain climbing from then on. When Rentaro lost the energy to go down the mountain because he drank too much beer, Ogawa Riko offered to carry him down the mountain. She carries Rentaro's life with her, which makes her strongly aware of her own existence. Unable to experience the touching feeling of two people loving each other until death in their marriage, she hopes to find the feeling of life, death and sexual intercourse in the mountains. The spell is broken.
"Just like those incredibly strong blood vessels in the human body, the blood inside makes a gurgling sound and flows quickly. All these things that are taken for granted are ignored by us, or we just want to pretend , Everything around me is okay?”
The neighbor’s daughter Oda Po (played by Mimra) is Kazuki’s childhood sweetheart, but she is trapped in reality. She used to be a flight attendant, but she got sick and couldn't laugh, so she had to resign. She stayed at home every day and occasionally wandered out at night. She met her former classmate Ryoichi Sakai (played by Seiji Fukushi) who was a gynecologist. Sakai has a disease that makes him laugh all the time. He also resigned. Sakai invited Oda Bao to start a snack bar with the monk who had a broken knee and could not kneel down and had to return to secular life. Odabao refused. After all, there is no comparison between a flight attendant and a snack bar clerk.
?But, "In this ugly world, struggling to survive in a way that is not suitable for you is the real misfortune!"
Sakai and Oda Takara competed in the playground Draw a white line on it, whoever draws the longest one wins. If Sakai wins, Odabo will have to open a snack bar with him. In fact, winning or losing doesn't matter in the end, because Bai Xian has unlocked the spell on Odabao.
Kazuki’s cousin Takeuchi Torao (played by Kento Kaku) has been reluctant to sell the broken car left by Kazuki, even if he and his fiancée quarreled several times over the car, he would not let go. Like Tetsuko, he doesn't want to move forward or forget yet. After carrying Tetsuko and Kazuki's bones back into the urn, the spell was lifted after carrying Tetsuko and Kazuki for the last time.
"People are changing all the time. Although this is a cruel fact, I think it is because of this that people can be saved."
" Even if something really happened, one day, my memory will become blurry. It doesn't matter whether it is true or false. I am surrounded by memories and I don't know at the same time. But as long as you can be sure that you are slowly changing, that's enough."
Most of the actors' acting skills are on the line, but Mimra is a little bit behind. She has a beautiful face and good skin, but her acting skills are really mediocre, and she doesn't show the slump and inner struggle at all. Maybe it’s because I played opposite Mimura, but I discovered that Seiji Fukushi’s acting skills are pretty good︿( ̄︶ ̄)︿, which I really didn’t notice before.
When the ending song of each episode of the TV series plays, it is the moment with the most tears. The first few episodes are about remembering the dead and reminiscing about the past. And when Tetsuko put the bones back, it became the present. At the end of the last episode, the encounter between Tetsuko and Kazuki was reviewed. It's really touching.
As for the novel, it’s not that it’s not good, it’s just that it doesn’t have the sense of ease that Izumi Muhara had when writing the screenplay. When watching the TV series, you can clearly feel the screenwriter's ease. In comparison, the novel is still a bit dull.
Finally, this is both a healing show and a gourmet show. Please prepare snacks before watching the movie~
