The example of silence is welcomed by market consumers. In 2008, Little Brown Publishing House published a new picture book called Silence. In this book, author Mark Lai Burstein and illustrator Ed Young explore the concept of silence by combining narrative, poetry and collage art.
The story is about a kitten named Jiji roaming in her hometown Kyoto, Japan, to explore the true meaning of her name. In the long journey, all kinds of animals it meets are concrete, presenting simple, imperfect and unexpected beauty in front of it, sometimes in the form of haiku.
Elements of silent design:
The human settlements created by "silence" all come from natural elements. In a room made of wood, stone, rattan and hemp, you can see the original appearance of the items. In this environment, people will become very quiet. The element of "silence" exists in every detail of space. In these objects, we can see the traces left by years and the power of time.
