When we talk about snacks in Mengzi, we have to talk about rice noodles. The most famous rice noodle is crossing the bridge. Rice noodle is the staple food of Mengzi people, so I can't say it for the time being. There are many ways to eat thread, and if you want to count it as a snack, it is: first, cold rice noodles. There are many shops selling cold rice noodles in Mengzi city, but only two or three are really delicious. The most popular one is "Dajing Wangshi Store" in Guilin Street, which is an old-fashioned cold rice noodle. However, there are two "Dajing Wangshidian" signs, both of which are on Guilin Street, not far apart. An elder sister and a younger brother are all family members. The second is fried rice noodles. Fried rice noodles with soy sauce are the best in the "Jinlian snack bar" at the old government gate of Yuhuangge and Wenlan Road. There are many kinds of snacks, cold, hot and baked. The third is canned rice noodles. As the name implies, canned rice noodles are rice noodles sold in earthen cans. The rice noodles made in this way have a high temperature and a stuffy taste, which is more enjoyable than eating rice noodles in a small pot. The most representative is Dayuan Zitu jar rabbit rice noodles, and there are also two beer houses, "Linhuxuan" and "Olive Tree", which have three flavors: braised beef, stinky tofu and fried sauce. The fourth is chrysanthemum rice noodles. When you count the Huaguang Hotel in the middle section of Yinhe Road, Zhaozhong passes by Qiaoju Copper Pot Crossing Bridge Rice Noodles, the sea bowl and copper pot rice noodles on the Laokunhe Highway at the northern end of Yinhe Road, and the Honghe Hani native rice noodles in Wencui Community are all good. Now add a Jiang brothers rice noodle. It feels ok, and their pot-stewed dishes are worth recommending (_)!
When eating cold rice noodles or fried rice noodles with soy sauce, it's better to bake some potato and tofu at the same time, and then have a bottle of beer, or bake a few kebabs, and eat slowly, which will make you feel more comfortable. Mengzi's tofu is very special, the core is thin, and the name is just right, called wrapped tofu. It's very tender after baking, and it melts as soon as you eat it in your mouth. At first, I couldn't eat it. Slowly, I found that there was a place for wrapped tofu, and the more I ate it, the more I loved it.
There are many vendors selling small rolls of powder in Mengzi City. I know of seven. Of course, Mengzi's small rolls are not as authentic as Hekou's, but there is still a place to eat. The small rolls of rice flour I have eaten are stuffed with mushrooms, sauerkraut and bumps (that is, mustard greens). Two yuan for ten, ten for one plate, two plates for one person is enough, and it is not expensive to eat. Snack bars also sell spring rolls, that is, rolled powder fried in oil, which is bigger than small rolls and costs one yuan a roll. The earliest one selling small rolls of powder was opened by returned overseas Chinese in Vietnam, and the name of the store was called "Vietnamese snacks". It was originally opened in Guilin Street. At that time, the pavement was dark and dirty, and there were so many people who could eat it. It was said that his home was the most authentic, and I often visited it. Later, due to the transformation of Guilin Street, it moved to the south section of Gexue Street, and the pavement was much cleaner than before.
Almost every snack bar in Mengzi City sells fried rolls. But the best food I have ever eaten is "Man Yi Ge" in People's Cinema. This is a temporary stall. The fried rolls made were full in weight, cooked just right, and tasted tender, fragrant and delicious. Unfortunately, they no longer exist. The beef noodles in Mengzi city are also good. Representatives include beef rice noodles next to the state hospital, and a product of beef noodles in Yipin Pavilion in Mengcheng Mingzhou, which is famous in Honghe Prefecture. When friends who are old and far away come to Mengzi, they all have to let me take them to "Yipin Pavilion" for a bowl of beef noodles. When eating noodles, order a bottle of "Coca Cola" or "Fanta" and drink it while eating, which is also self-satisfied. However, if you go to Yipin Pavilion to eat noodles early, you will have no seats if you go late.
There used to be several Lamian Noodles sellers in Mengzi, but now there is only one "Ruifeng Garden" on Wenlan Road. "Ruifeng Garden" has Lamian Noodles, Daoxiao Noodles and so on, with five kinds of flavors: braised beef, stewed pork, braised pork intestines, ribs and fried sauce, all of which are delicious. The only drawback is that the work is a little rough, and the drawn surface is thick and uneven. But there is only one family in Mengzi, and it is not enough not to eat. Sometimes when I drink too much, I don't want to eat anything but pasta, so I will go to Ruifeng Garden to eat a bowl of Lamian Noodles. Put more vinegar when eating, and relieve the hangover by the way.
Ice porridge is a distinctive snack in Mengzi. There are actually several ice porridge sellers in Mengzi city, but only "Yang porridge" specializes in porridge. "Yang porridge" was originally opened opposite the Red River Cinema in the new archway, and now it has moved to the intersection of Guilin Street and Huancheng South Road. There are two kinds of porridge: sweet and salty. Sweet is red bean porridge, which is cold and delicious, and is most suitable for hot weather. To really taste, you have to eat salty. The salty taste is actually peanut porridge, which has no taste in itself and should be eaten with seasoning. The condiments are fishy-smelling vegetables, ginger and jasmine, raw leek, pickled vegetable root, milk rot and so on. In the 193s, there was a "thunder porridge" in Mengzi town, which was recorded in Zhu Ziqing's prose "Miscellanies of Mengzi". But it's long gone. Today's "Yang porridge" is probably inherited from the "Lei porridge" of that year, and there is a self-service porridge shop next to Tianzhu Road Court, which is also good. 2.5 yuan is full!
"Yin's cold spoon powder" is also a famous snack in Mengzi city, and the pavement is in the west left lane next to Yueyatang. I don't know why this alley has a vulgar name: pee lane Xizuoxiang used to sell meat, but now there are several snack bars and tea shops, and the stalls have been placed in the alley. "Yin's cold spoon powder" is the largest one among them. Cold spoon powder tastes tender and smooth, and tastes good. There are spicy and sweet ones. But most of them are spicy. In addition to cold spoon powder, there are also snacks such as cold rice noodles, fried rice noodles, and baked tofu.
a few years ago, there was an old lady in the south gate who sold sour paste Baba. The taste is sour and sweet, and you can never get tired of eating it. There is still something to sell at the entrance of the Kowloon Farmers' Market, but the taste is not as good as before. In addition, there are street corners in Mengzi city selling roast beef, baked Baba, baked sweet potatoes, baked corn, and so on! (^-^)
