I have been a person who loves shopping in shopping malls since I was a child.
But it’s not that I like to “sell products”, but I like to see the design of the mall and the display of products.
Not long ago, Beijing announced the "Beijing Commercial Service Industry Facilities Spatial Layout Plan", proposing that Beijing will become a world-class consumer hub city by 2035.
Beijing has a large population, strong consumption power and high consumer awareness, making it a must-have for businesses.
However, Beijing can hardly be described as a "city with very developed commerce."
As proposed in this plan, although there are many large-scale commerce in Beijing, there are not many connected areas, and they are unevenly distributed, with most of them concentrated in the Fourth and Fifth Ring Roads.
Among them, Chaoyang District, Haidian District and Xicheng District have the largest number.
Most of the suburbs are Changping District, Daxing District and Tongzhou District.
There are few shopping malls in the second ring road of the city, and the quality is not high enough, even though the location is so good.
Then, there is a serious shortage of commercial facilities in the outer suburbs of Fangshan District and Mentougou District.
In addition to large-scale commerce, because Beijing adopts an urban layout of wide roads, doing business in Beijing often has the "half-road, half-year, and half-block dilemma."
This means that because the road is too wide, people are less willing to cross the road to consume, and can only do business on half a street.
And because Beijing has a cold season for half the year, everyone goes back to sleep and wrap themselves up in quilts in the evenings of autumn, winter, and spring, resulting in an "underdeveloped nighttime economy."
This plan puts forward Beijing’s ambitions for commercial development.
Wangfujing and Qianmen should become wide-area-level commercial districts for international exchanges.
In the next few years, Beijing will vigorously develop five regional commercial centers including CBD, Shijingshan, Huilongguan, Daxing Xihongmen and the city sub-center.
Xidan, Financial Street, Jianguomen, Wukesong, etc. should become regional commercial centers.
Finally, there is the community-level commercial center.
look forward.
It is expected that Beijing can truly become an international business capital that is both fashionable and convenient, and can meet the needs of different classes, so that people who come to Beijing can feel the different styles and forms of international urban business style.
Next, I will talk about my five favorite commercial facilities in Beijing, just for everyone to take a look at.
(1) INDIGO: Internet upstart During the recent Dragon Boat Festival, I went to INDIGO in Jiangtai, Beijing.
This is a luxury mall located on the Northeast Fourth Ring Road in Beijing, opened in 2012.
I've been here three times before, in the afternoon and in the evening. My previous impression was that the decoration was luxurious, the space was large, but there weren't many people.
This time the Dragon Boat Festival came, I was shocked.
There are huge crowds of people, customers from home and abroad gather here, and the popularity of the business district has matured.
At the same time, I also carefully observed the people who came to eat. Everyone was well-dressed, handsome men and beautiful women. Even if they were not good-looking, the clothes, pants and shoes were expensive at a glance. Even the children felt that they were extremely well-dressed.
skirt and a very unique hairstyle.
In the past three years, I have lived in Tongzhou District, Beijing’s sleeping city, also known as “Tonglifonia”. Although it has been promoted to the deputy center of Beijing, it will take time for the temperament to change.
Having lived in Sleep City for a long time, I was used to seeing pajamas and pajamas on the streets. When I suddenly entered the city and arrived at INDIGO, I was strongly impacted by the jewels and jewels.
The prosperity of INDIGO is closely related to the prosperity of the region.
Jiangtai, where INDIGO is located, was formerly organized as Jiangtai Township and was surrounded by electronics factories.
After the opening of Metro Line 14, Jiangtai Station was established, and INDIGO stands right on the subway station, with a very advantageous geographical location.
What's even more advantageous is that connecting Taiwan to nearby Wangjing and the 798 Art District has transformed this area into the Internet and art center of the Northeast Fourth Ring Road in Beijing. Internet upstarts, artistic beauties, etc. gather here, and nearby high-end real estate
, villas, and international schools have also been completed one after another, which undoubtedly prepared the most valuable buyers for the prosperity of INDIGO.
I don’t mean to write soft articles about INDIGO.
However, when I went to INDIGO during the Dragon Boat Festival this time, I felt that the brands inside had been updated a lot, with flagship stores such as Brutalist, Dyson, and Lego opening one after another.
I have always been worried about how many people will come to physical shopping malls to buy things with the development of the Internet economy.
Now I finally verified that I was wrong.
Firstly, it underestimates the purchasing power of the wealthy class, and secondly, it lacks imagination.
"The mall is no longer a place that only provides shopping, but more of a living and public space." No matter how nice the home is, most people other than otakus still need a comfortable and spacious place.
Communication is completed in the public space, whether it is eating alone or inviting relatives and friends to eat together, urbanites need such a space to satisfy their social connections.
Especially in a city like Beijing where major roads divide communities, a mall that is super fun, interesting, where you can eat, drink, watch movies, and have free air conditioning is of course the first choice of many citizens.
In the hot summer, INDIGO is such a good place to go.
If I were to use one word to describe the temperament of "INDigo", I think it would be the temperament of "Internet upstart".
(2) Parkview Green: Great Artist Compared with INDIGO's "Internet upstart" temperament, Parkview Green, located on the East Third Ring Road, should be considered a standard mall full of "artist" temperament.
The architectural shape of Fangcaodi is an oblique triangle, which is very eye-catching.
