Jiangsu Vocational College of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Science and Technology is located in Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province, and is affiliated to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Jiangsu Province. Won the top 50 national innovative and entrepreneurial universities, and is the first batch of pilot departments for comprehensive reform of "three rounds of education", the construction unit of high-level vocational colleges with China characteristics and the construction unit of high-level vocational colleges in Jiangsu Province.
Jiangsu Vocational College of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Science and Technology was founded in 1958, formerly known as Taixian Agricultural Secondary Technical School. After the merger of Taixian Agricultural School with Taizhou Agricultural College and Taizhou Horticultural School, it was renamed Taizhou Agricultural School in Jiangsu Province in August 1959, and then it went through Taizhou Animal Husbandry and Veterinary School in Jiangsu Province and Jiangsu Animal Husbandry and Veterinary School. In June 20001year, it was upgraded to Jiangsu Vocational College of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, and in March 201year, it was renamed Jiangsu Vocational College of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Science and Technology.
As of March 2023, the school has four campuses: Fenghuang Road, Yingbin Road, Hongqi Avenue and Innovation Avenue, covering an area of more than 4,390 mu, with a total construction area of 580,000 square meters and a library collection of 6,543,800+0.3 million books. There are 650 full-time teachers and more than 7000 students/kloc-0. By June 2022, there were 1 14 colleges. As of March, 2023, there are 33 majors, including 4 majors supported by the central government in national demonstration (backbone) higher vocational colleges and 4 brands in Jiangsu Province.
