About Zhenyuan
Zhenyuan county belongs to Qiandongnan Prefecture, which is 90km away from Kaili City/KLOC-0. It is located in Wuling Mountain area in the east of Guizhou Province, and it is the slope zone of the transition from Guizhou Plateau to Xiangxi Hill. It is adjacent to Xinhuang, Hunan in the east, Sansui and Jianhe in the south, Shibing in the west and Shiqian Town and tongren city in Cengong County in the north. It is the east gate of Guizhou Province, and is known as "the key to Yunnan and Chu, the gateway to eastern Guizhou". Zhenyuan and Zunyi are the only two historical and cultural names in Guizhou Province, which can be traced back to the Spring and Autumn Period. It was built in the Spring and Autumn Period, and Qin is a county in central Guizhou.
Recommended route
Recommended route: turn right after entering the city gate, don't cross the new bridge, go all the way along the river and walk to Qinglong Cave (a religious building. If you are interested, you can buy a ticket to enter. After crossing the Zhu Sheng Bridge, Fangjing Lane can lead to Shiping Mountain, where there is a scenic path. From here, you can avoid the tickets of Shiping Mountain, and there is a section of the Great Wall of Miao nationality at the top of the mountain.
Renshou Lane and Chongzikou Lane are the must-see places. I recommend going to Renshou Lane and Chongzikou Lane first, having a snack, and then going up the mountain through Sifang Lane, which can overlook the panoramic view of the ancient town at dusk, then waiting for the sunset to take a night view, and then going down the mountain for supper.
The next day, I slept in, visited Heping Village (World War II Prisoner of War Shelter), got free tickets with my ID card or took a cruise to Wuyang River Scenic Area.
Traffic between scenic spots
There are many ways to travel to Qiandongnan.
Starting from major cities in China, you can choose to go to Guiyang first and then take the train to Zhenyuan.
Kaili has a bus to Zhenyuan ancient city.
Depart from Chengdu, stay in Guiyang by train for one night, or fly to Guiyang for one and a half hours. This time we set off by car the night before the holiday and stayed in Zunyi for one night from Luzhou Expressway-Rongzun Expressway. The next day, Zunyi set out to continue the expressway, and then took the provincial road directly to the county seat after passing the Zhenyuan toll station. On the third day, we started from Zhenyuan and continued to go to Rongzun Expressway to Xijiang River. The whole journey takes about 9 hours, and the return journey stops at Meishan section for a while, and it takes 10 hour to get to Chengdu (not counting the meal time).
This time, I am so willful because there are three drivers in our car, so we can drive differently! The road conditions are very good. I rarely saw cars after Luzhou, and I can't help but sigh that I didn't even see cars in Sichuan.
About food
Wangji Jinsha Niu mutton powder
The first stop of Zhenyuan cuisine, if it happens to be in the morning. What you must eat is Wang Ji Jin Sha Niu mutton powder, which Zhenyuan people especially like. It's less than 100 meters away from Zhenyuan Theater, and opposite it is the old city wall of Zhenyuan-Chengmen Cave. Although it is not native to the local beef and mutton powder, Zhenyuan people invented a unique way to eat it, that is, it must be eaten with fried rice cakes. Fried rice cake is a necessary breakfast meal for Zhenyuan people!
Wang Ji time-honored bingtianjiu
In addition to homemade liqueur, iced liqueur is also made of glutinous rice flour into small balls. Put it in the freezer in advance, take it away after sealing the cup, and don't drink it easily.
Time-honored Yuan Mei Tofu
This tofu shop is located on the pedestrian street in Zhenyuan. You can see it on the pedestrian street not far from Zhu Sheng Bridge.
Tofu brain is original. Of course, you can eat salty, spicy and sweet food according to your own preferences.
Su Yuan dongjia flavor
There is a snack street by the river under the new bridge. This time, we chose the especially delicious tofu pudding grilled fish. It can be said that the tofu pudding grilled fish is actually a major feature of Qiandongnan, and this tofu pudding grilled fish in Zhenyuan is an authentic Dong flavor.
Three pepper tofu pudding is poured on the special grilled fish. The soup is particularly spicy, but it is also very fragrant. With the breeze of the river, the grilled fish mixed with the taste of the river has a special flavor.
Xindaqiao barbecue
There is more than one Xinqiao barbecue, and basically every family is similar. It is recommended here!
