. The sound of reading is accompanied by the sound of wind and rain. The sound of reading is heard by the sound of wind and rain. I am concerned about family affairs, national affairs, and everything in the world. This couplet was written by Gu Xiancheng, the leader of the Donglin Party in the Ming Dynasty ("Famous Lian Tan Qu" 275).
Gu founded Donglin Academy in Wuxi. After giving lectures, he often commented on government affairs.
Later, people used it to advocate "reading without forgetting to save the country", which still has positive significance today.
The first couplet combines the sound of reading and the sound of wind and rain, which is both poetic and profound.
The second line contains the ambition of harmonizing the family, governing the country, and bringing peace to the world.
The wind is against the rain, the home is against the country, the ear is against the heart, it is extremely neat, especially the repeated words in conjunction, like hearing the sound of books.
(Volume 6 of "Couplets") There is a couplet in Yongji Temple next to Yanziji in Nanjing (Volume 6 of "Couplets"): The sound of pines, the sound of bamboos, the sound of bells and chimes, the sound of mountains, water, smoke, all colors are empty, and the rooftop of Zhejiang
There is an original couplet from Fangguang Temple in the mountains (page 139 of Su Wenyang's "Ancient and Modern Couplet") that says: The sound of wind, water, insects, birds, and Sanskrit chants totaled three hundred and sixty days, and the sound of bells was silent and silent. Moonlight, mountain color, grass color, tree color, and clouds.
The above two couplets use the same artistic method as the first couplet, and there is no author or date. Therefore, it cannot be determined who is innovating and who is imitating; but it can be explained that the same art
Means can express completely different thoughts and interests.
2. On the Double Ninth Festival, the Eighty-year-old king is worshiped everywhere. The Eighty-year-old King is everywhere and the Eighteen Justices are introduced. The emperor has nine years of longevity. On the Double Ninth Festival, the emperor is honored every year. This couplet is a new couplet of Wansongling Palace written by Peng Yuanrui and Ji Xiaolan ("Couplet Series")
Volume 2).
The first couplet is written by Peng Yuanrui, and the second couplet is answered by Ji Xiaolan.
Before the Double Ninth Festival in the 55th year of Qianlong's reign (1790), Qianlong returned from hunting at Mulan Paddock in Rehe and stayed at Wansongling Palace.
The couplet is a eulogy for Qianlong's 80th birthday. The beauty lies in the precise person (Qianlong), the precise place (Wansongling), and the precise time (Double Ninth Festival). It also uses split characters (Song-Shiba Gong) and overlapping characters (everywhere,
Year) and the high skill of inverting the two characters "self-respect and self-respect" (eighty, eighteen; ninefold, double nine) are not clichés or word games. Although they are flattering works, they can be said to be the best couplets.
3. I won’t go home this year. There is no car or fish. Contemporary Meng Chang can’t help me. I haven’t exhausted all my money yet. I won’t go home this year. This couplet is a Spring Festival couplet written by Fang Dishan, the "Lian Sheng".
Fang is a disciple of Yuan Shikai and the teacher of Yuan Hanyun, the second son of Yuan Shikai ("Famous Lianqutan" 284).
One Spring Festival he wrote this couplet, saying that my boss treated me very well and he would not go home during the Spring Festival this year.
Fang praised his boss as Lord Mengchang and compared himself to Su Qin. He praised both his boss and himself. It was indeed a generous "masterpiece".
When Mr. Wang Junshi taught this couplet in the 1940s, he used another version. The second couplet is "The gold is not finished, the clothes are not worn". Unfortunately, its origin is unknown.
This couplet is structurally composed of two three-character sentences and one seven-character sentence. When read, it has a strong sense of rhythm. It is expressed as a binary sequence: 110, 110, 1100011 / 001, 001, 0011100. It can be seen that:
The three-character sentence pattern is repeated once and overlaps with the first three digits of the seven-character sentence pattern. Therefore, structurally, the three-character sentence pattern is only a partial repetition of the seven-character sentence pattern.
This is the best structure we didn't mention above.
This couplet is also very particular about the use of allusions. The first couplet uses the story "Feng Xuan Ke Mengchangjun" and the second couplet uses the story "Su Qin Yi Lianheng talks about Qin", both of which come from "Warring States Policy".
Reading this couplet is equivalent to reviewing two famous works.
4. The east wall is inverted and the west wall is inverted. The east wall is inverted and the west wall is inverted. You can see how good the house is. The front alley is deep and the back alley is so deep that you can’t hear the sound of carriages and horses. Zhu Xi presented a couplet to a scholar in Zhangzhou (Volume 1 of "Couplets").
Zhu Xi was an acting scholar of the Song Dynasty, but he was not always sanctimonious as people imagined.
This couplet is very humane and humorous.
It depicts a scholar. Although his living conditions are poor, his family is harmonious and his life is happy. Although no one comes to visit him, he can study with peace of mind.
The first couplet is a bit exaggerated, but the contrast is strong.
This is the earliest use of rhymed couplets. A guest is drunk but no guest is sleeping. The simple words are shameful. The long songs are thick and short, the songs are sparse and the poems are ordinary. Liang Zhangju also wrote a rhymed couplet as shown above (Volume 12 of "Couplets Cong Hua")
.
This couplet hangs in the "Tenghua Yin Pavilion" and records his life and self-evaluation in Fuzhou after he returned home due to illness at the age of 58. The use of rhyme in the couplet is not necessary, but the use of rhyme makes it easier to read.
Ten years later, he revised this couplet: Guests come, drunken guests go to sleep, old people have nothing to do, they feel ashamed, they discuss their studies poorly, discuss politics, and write poems, they have no family, they chat for their own entertainment. This couplet hangs in the "Thatched Cottage" in Pucheng when he was 68 years old.
Years old (Volume 2 of "Couplet Continuation").
Comparing the two couplets, we can understand that Liang Zhangju also put a lot of effort into poetry.
New acquaintances, old acquaintances, we have an appointment for the spring night. Just ask today, what night is the same moonlight and light color? I should look for a trip here and there. The scenery is so enjoyable. How many times before and after the teahouses and restaurants have been exhausted, how can I keep this couplet (1820-
?) Couplets written for the Foshan "Spring Games" (54 items in "Famous Couplets Talking about Fun").
