School education in Fuzhou began in the Western Jin Dynasty and flourished in the Tang Dynasty. From the Northern Song Dynasty to the Southern Song Dynasty, education in Fuzhou entered its heyday. After the founding of New China, Fuzhou's education has developed unprecedentedly.
