Disabled people who love life
Chen Fei suffered from cerebral palsy at birth due to lack of oxygen at birth. In order to take care of Chen Fei, her mother gave up her job, and the family only relied on her father's monthly salary of 40 yuan, which was difficult to support. In order to take care of Chen Fei and make money to support the family, her mother learned clothing tailoring when Chen Fei was two years old. From then on, Chen Fei spent his childhood in the sound of sewing machines. When his mother was working, she would put Chen Fei in the pile of clothes next to her. When she was thirsty and hungry, she would feed her while making clothes. Order something. Sometimes
when her mother couldn't bear it, she would hold her in her arms while her feet were pressing on the soles of the sewing machine so that she could move around.
Chen Fei has grown up gradually. Although her behavioral and language skills are extremely limited, she is very smart. Her mother taught her ancient poems and quatrains, and she can remember them just once. Chenfei's language was extremely unclear, and only her mother could understand her. My mother taught Chenfei to be confident since she was a child, and she would take her out for a walk whenever she had time. Whenever someone asked about Chenfei’s situation, her mother always encouraged Chenfei to answer. She said, “You can say what you can, and what you can’t say. My mother said that as long as my mother is here, I don’t have to be afraid of anything.” Even though Chen Fei has difficulty communicating with others, her life is not closed off because her mother is by her side to translate. Therefore, she has developed an optimistic and cheerful character.
Chen Fei has normal intelligence and is very eager to go to school. Chenfei's mother visited all the local primary schools, but when she heard that Chenfei was a wheelchair-bound patient with cerebral palsy, no school was willing to accept her. One day in 2003, Zhou Xueyan, the principal of the Xifeng County Special Education School, came to her home to make clothes. She saw Chen Fei alone behind her mother. She felt so distressed that their school accepted Chen Fei.
At the special education school, Chen Fei studied cultural knowledge with her deaf-mute classmates. She cherished this rare learning opportunity. Rain or shine, she was never late. In order not to cause trouble to the teacher, she hardly drank water during the school day. Her movements are limited and she can only rely on her eyes to see, her ears to hear, and her brain to remember. Reading is very difficult. Chen Fei could only use his chin to turn the book. Every time he turned the page, Chen Fei had to use all his strength. She never complained about hardship or tiredness, she just tried her best to study.
Being unable to use a pen is a big problem for Chen Fei. She always needs help from her teacher or mother. Chen Fei really hopes that she can write. She and her mother have tried many methods to exercise the function of her hands, but with little success. In 2003, a kind person bought her a computer. There is no need to use a pen, just touch the keyboard, and the words will come out one by one. The arrival of the computer seems to have installed another hand for this unfortunate girl, making her dream of writing become a reality.
Chen Fei could only barely control her head. She first learned to control the mouse with her lower jaw. If she rubbed it little by little, the position would be inaccurate if she applied too much or too little force. At the same time, she used her nose to familiarize herself with the keyboard. Others used their hands to type on the keyboard while looking at the screen, but she couldn't. She couldn't see the screen while lying on the computer. You can imagine how difficult it is to type with your jaw and nose. As he continued to practice, Chenfei's nose and jaw became swollen and bruised. Her mother felt sorry for her and asked her to stop practicing. However, this was the only way to write. Chen Fei did not flinch and could not give up. After hard training, Chen Fei learned to type using a computer: from typing one word in ten minutes to now typing 6 or 7 words a minute. Only Chen Fei himself knows the hard work and sweat involved.
For five years, Chen Fei tapped the keyboard with the tip of his nose and mandible, writing about his youth and writing a collection of essays. No one can imagine how much hardship Chen Fei had to put in behind each article. It took her several hours to type out a poem, and several days to type out a prose. When her nose is sore or swollen, her mother will rub it for her. After that, Chenfei can continue writing.
Now, Chen Fei has also created a blog online. Through the Internet, Chen Fei, who has limited mobility, has made many friends. Her poetry, prose and diary are recognized by more and more netizens. Now Chen Fei has become the moderator of "Zhuzi Literature Network" and "Euphratica euphratica Literature Network".
