Why did you shoot?

1- Street portraits can easily capture the true feelings of characters. If you pay attention to good clothes, they will be very fashionable.

Background story

This photo was taken in Seoul, Korea, and it is one of my many business photos.

The model is a Korean girl with excellent conditions and serious work. I told her my shooting philosophy, to create a sense of realism and fashion in women's daily life, rather than deliberately.

The general commercial street is the best place to take such photos. Choose appropriate blocks according to different themes. At this time, we should pay attention to the contradiction between clothing and street view.

02 composition

Because it is a photo of women's wear and clothes, it is best to shoot vertically, which is suitable for showing the whole body feeling. Pay attention to the space reserved at the top of the model's head and feet, and don't feel "stuck tight". Such a composition is not conducive to possible re-editing in the later stage, and it is also easy for the audience to feel unnecessary depression.

03 deficiency and excess

The aperture can be selected from the maximum, or it can be appropriately reduced by one or two steps. The street scene as the background can be photographed properly, but it doesn't need to be particularly clear, which is different from the requirements for taking portraits during travel. Of course, as a commercial film of women's clothing, the model's clothing and accessories and luggage should be explained, and these should not be blurred.

04 exposure

The focus of street shooting is people+clothing, so ensuring the accurate and appropriate exposure of clothing is the core requirement. This photo is still a bit difficult, because the model is wearing pure white clothes on her upper body and deep jeans on her lower body. Therefore, we should pay attention to the core position of the coat not to be overexposed; If you look closely, you will find that the whole model is in the shadow of the street, but this is a side backlight photo, so you should ensure the brightness of the main body of the character.

Late emphasis

The first batch should match the highlights and shadows between the model tops and jeans to ensure a good display. It is recommended to adjust it separately, such as using the highlights in ACR to save the details, not too white; Jeans can be adjusted with dark parts and highlighted appropriately to make their colors consistent with the real thing.

The second one stretched the model's calf. The scale of the model itself is very good. In order to highlight the beautiful legs, the length of the legs was increased in the later period. Remember not to be greedy for such an adjustment. Once the proportion is too "perfect", the visual effect will be very false!
