Parent-child reading is to let children point to the book and read along?
Parent-child reading, can children read a book repeatedly?
Parent-child reading, more and more people know, more and more people realize its importance and start reading with children. Me too. I have been reading books to my children since they were one year old, but I also admit that I knew too little about reading at that time, only that reading was very important! ! Today, I listened to a video course of doctoral tutor of Chinese Academy of Sciences, share it and review it.
Although I dare not say that I know how to read now, at least I have made progress on the basis of the past, and my understanding of reading is different from the implementation of parent-child reading.
Let's talk about parent-child reading today, which is related to three important factors of parent-child reading. The first is parents (parent-child reading plays a decisive role), the second is children (the core of parent-child reading), and the third is books (an indispensable resource medium for parent-child reading).
The first element is parents.
I put parents first, because parents are the decisive factor in children's early reading. How to make children fall in love with reading? What book do you choose? How to guide children to think? How can we "stimulate" children to express themselves? It all depends on what parents do.
Is parent-child reading just for children?
Is this the case with parent-child reading in your family? Only parents read and children listen. I have made this mistake before. When I was reading to my children, they kept interrupting me when they asked questions, and I was a little unhappy. Fortunately, I know that my "mistakes" can be adjusted in time. Parent-child reading Although parents are very important factors, children are dominant. Before the age of 6, children usually pay attention to pictures. They associate what they see with what they hear from their mother, integrate it in their brains, and then doubt it if they don't understand it. It is also possible that they are not listening to you carefully, but thinking about the picture itself and asking questions if they have any questions. I believe you should have the answer after reading this.
What I'm doing now: Look at the pictures together when I open the book, if the children are interested in the pictures. You can also look at pictures and tell stories together. Tell a story and guess what the story is about according to the pictures. Then read the words, of course, this work is usually done by my mother. I don't emphasize the quality of children. Even if he knows many words now, I will read them to him. He likes to listen to his mother's vivid voice. I'm going to stick to it until one day he volunteered and said, mom, I'll see for myself!
Is parent-child reading for children?
There was a time when I really wanted my children to read quickly and then read independently, but after reading a book, I really understood the true meaning of parent-child reading. I am not so utilitarian, but I am totally immersed in it.
For children of different ages, the ways of parent-child co-reading are also different. For example, parents of young children read together, mainly explaining and telling pictures. Older children mainly interact, such as asking questions and discussing, guessing the ending of the story, changing the ending and so on.
The second element is children.
Children are the core of parent-child reading. It should be emphasized here that parent-child reading should attach importance to children's interests, such as children like cars and dinosaurs. When we read picture books to children, let them choose what they are interested in.
Children's interests and parents' desire to cultivate their children's abilities are two different things and do not conflict. On the premise of respecting children and protecting their interests, we can better cultivate their abilities.
The third element is books/picture books.
The choice of books is also very important. I have seen many parents know the importance of parent-child reading, but they don't know how to choose books for their children. Some famous artists and big coffees have recommended many books, but they are not necessarily suitable for children. I share two points here: First, the difficulty of the book should meet the children's cognitive and understanding level, which requires parents to observe their children for a long time. Secondly, after repeated reading, children's favorite books can be read and read repeatedly.
