There are many camping spots around Beijing. I would like to briefly recommend the following ones.
Highlights of the Hebei Bingshanliang camping route: 1. Not affected by the weather, except for extremely bad weather, you can see the sea of ??clouds after rain and the stars on a clear day; 2. A very good summer resort in the suburbs of Beijing; 3. Glacier ruins and landforms.
Bingshanliang is located in Chicheng County, Hebei Province. The top of the mountain is 2,211 meters above sea level, facing Laozhanggou in the distance. It is truly the first peak on the dam.
The scenic area is surrounded by forest landforms and the top of the mountain is an alpine meadow. It is a Quaternary glacier site and has geological scientific research value.
The top of the mountain here is also very cool in summer, making it a rare summer resort in the suburbs of Beijing.
Bingshanliang weather: The temperature at the top of the mountain is about 10 degrees lower than that in urban Beijing all year round. Cotton jackets are required from June to September.
Bingshanliang transportation strategy: 1. Self-driving: Navigate "Bingshanliang" by yourself 2. Contact Yelang Outdoor customer service to participate in club activities.
Route intensity: Any vehicle can go directly to the campground, no intensity.
Ticket information: 60 yuan, group purchase 50 yuan (currently due to the arrears of workers' construction fees, no one is selling tickets at the door, and the scenic spot can be entered normally, and I don't know how to solve it in the future).
Food suggestion: You can pass by the county seat to dine and taste local specialties on the way. There is no supply when you reach the top of the mountain, so you must bring all your own food and water.
Travel Tips: Depart on Saturday and return on Sunday, so it’s best to travel on two days.
In addition, traffic jams are common on the Beijing-Tibet Expressway, so don’t leave too late.
It’s best to leave after seven o’clock.
Mentougou (Huailai) Youzhou Canyon camping guide route highlights: 1. The scenery is beautiful and delicate; 2. If you drive on National Highway 109, there will be no traffic jams all year round.
Youzhou Canyon is a part of the upper reaches of Yongding River.
The more than 20 kilometers from Jiuzhuangwo Village in Huailai County, Hebei, via Youzhou Village to Yanhecheng Village in Mentougou, Beijing, is the essence of the Yongding River Gorge.
Like a blue dragon, this is the real river canyon. There are cliffs on both sides of the valley. The mountain is made of limestone. It is deeply weathered and has unique scenery. It has not been developed for tourism, and the natural features are well preserved.
The two villages along the canyon, Jiuzhuangwo and Youzhou, are little-known.
Because Youzhou Village has the same name as the ancient name of Beijing in the Tang Dynasty, travelers named this canyon "Youzhou Canyon" by convention.
Yanhecheng Village is the end point of Youzhou Canyon. It is within the territory of Beijing and is the key point leading to Beijing from outside the Great Wall in the Ming Dynasty.
There are still ancient city walls along the river and traces can be seen.
There are also some Yanzihao watchtowers scattered near Yanhe City, which are the remains of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty.
Weather in Youzhou Canyon: The temperature is slightly lower than that in urban Beijing, so just dress normally.
Youzhou Canyon transportation guide: 1. Self-driving is the best: Navigate "Yanhe City" by yourself. When you reach Yanhe City, you will reach Youzhou Canyon.
On the return trip, you can drive through the Guanting hanging wall highway and take the Beijing-Tibet Expressway back to Beijing.
Route intensity: Any vehicle can go directly to the campground, no intensity.
Ticket information: No tickets Food suggestion: The fish in Tiguo Guanting Reservoir is very good, and the roadside shops have unique flavor.
Travel Tips: Depart on Saturday and return on Sunday. It is best to visit on the second day.
The departure time is optional because there are never traffic jams on National Highway 109 except for major traffic accidents.
Highlights of the Yanqing Houhe camping route: 1. There are mountains, water, and original ecological scenery; 2. A holy place for camping and a paradise for leisure and leisure.
Houhe is in Yanqing, a summer resort.
When it’s cool in the summer and you camp there, you have to wear spring and autumn clothes at night.
There are mountains and water, and it is an original grand canyon.
It is called a camping holy place and a paradise for corruption by travel friends.
Most people who go to Houhe go to Longju Villa, but you can also go to Huangbai Temple.
Here we will introduce Longju Villa.
Weather in Houhe Canyon: The temperature is slightly lower than five degrees lower than that in urban Beijing, and the sun sets earlier in the canyon.
Houhe Canyon transportation strategy: 1. Self-driving: Navigate to "Longju Villa" by yourself. When you arrive at Longju Villa, enter the community and find a suitable place to park.
Walking through the community is the path up the mountain to Houhe.
What? You don’t know how to get there after entering the community? If you don’t even know how to use the GPS software on your mobile phone, I suggest you stay at home.
There are many return routes. You can get off at Huangbai Temple, but some roads are quite steep. If you are not sure, you can choose to return the same way. 2. Bus: Take "919 Express" at Deshengmen and get off at the end. There are many vans at the station.
Just go to Longju Villa.
Route intensity: Longju Villa starts with two days of carrying supplies up the mountain. The intensity is not suitable for lazy people and requires a certain amount of physical strength.
Ticket information: There are no tickets, but there will be guards during the fire prevention period before June 1. If you have concerns, you can choose to climb the mountain first and at night. It is not recommended for novices.
Food tip: You can catch reservoir fish at the end of the reservoir. However, since it is outside the Longqing Gorge Scenic Area, you must prevent the scenic area staff from confiscating the fishing nets, and fishing is not restricted.
Sometimes there are local fellows selling reservoir fish.
There is a spring at the end of the bank (if you can find it). You can drink the river water after it is boiled, but remember to boil it.
There are no supplies in the canyon.
Travel tips: Set off on Saturday morning, go down on Sunday morning, and return at noon. The best day is two days.
Start early to avoid traffic jams on the Beijing-Tibet Expressway.
