I have only been to the former mountain once, and I have been to the latter mountain many times. Many foreign tourists like to go to the front mountain of Qingcheng Mountain, because the tour group goes to the front mountain to learn about Taoist culture. In fact, the scenery in Houshan is better, so the people who go to Houshan are basically Chengdu locals.
We drove directly from the north gate of Chengdu to the back mountain of Qingcheng in the early morning, covering more than 80 kilometers. After walking for more than two hours, there was a traffic jam on the road, plus a traffic jam outside the mountain gate.
If you take a bus by yourself, you can take a long-distance bus to Qingcheng Mountain at Xinnanmen Station and Chadianzi Station. Tickets are less than 20 yuan to 30 yuan, and buses should all go to Qianshan Scenic Area. If you want to go to the back hill, you need to transfer to a minibus. If you want to go to Dujiangyan first, you can go to Xinnanmen Bus Station, Chadianzi Station and the bullet train, and then change at Lidui Park in Dujiangyan Scenic Area to10/bus to Qingcheng Mountain.
Recently, many people go to Houshan for summer on hot weekends. If it is convenient, they can live at the foot of the mountain in the late afternoon of the previous day. It's especially cool at night. Go climbing the mountain early the next morning. Generally, it takes 3-4 hours to climb the top of Baiyun Temple while walking and playing, depending on their physical strength. The road up the mountain is full of cold running water, and this season is just right for treading water.
The uphill behind Qingcheng Mountain is divided into two roads, one is Wulonggou, the other is another village, and then it goes to Baiyun Temple. The other is to take Feiquangou, pass Cuiying Lake, take a boat, and then walk to Baiyun Temple. People with good physical strength can take the ring road, go up the mountain from Cuiying Lake to Feiquangou, and then go down the mountain from another village to Wulonggou. The whole journey takes six hours.

People with poor physical strength can only go upstairs and downstairs by cable car. The cableway behind Qingcheng Mountain is divided into two sections. The ropeway goes one way to 30 yuan, but I can't see any scenery along the ropeway. It is suggested to take the cableway up the mountain first and then walk down slowly. Some sections are steep, so pay attention to safety.
