At first, the band members were lead singer and guitarist Xie Tianxiao, bassist Li Ming and drummer Liang Xu. In 1998, Xie Tianxiao met the drummer Wu Rui who was performing in Howl Bar, and appreciate each other invited him to be the drummer of cold blood animals. The "cold-blooded animals" compiled by the three people created a gloomy and violent musical dream with the most primitive musical instruments, such as guitar, bass and drums. Metal, Punk, Ska p, Hardcore and GRUNGE were perfectly integrated with China folk music, and their violent music style and unbounded crazy performances swept the Beijing rock stage. Under the background of the Grunge tide, "cold-blooded animals" became famous, and At the end of 1999, the dormant "Cold-blooded Animals" band signed the newly-founded Jingwen's Howling Record. That is, they released their album of the same name, Cold-blooded Animals. The unique music style of this record and the strong explosive power contained in the songs have established the position of the band in the Chinese rock music scene. The name "cold-blooded animal" and its works have become the new coordinates of Chinese rock music. In the hearts of fans, "cold-blooded animals" are the embodiment of independence, pride, strength and thinking.
