How to make ice-covered moon cakes

Before you know it, the Mid-Autumn Festival is coming. Mooncakes are sold everywhere in the street, and the varieties and tastes are increasing. In the past, every year, we would buy several boxes of moon cakes early, eat them at home or give them away.

Since we learned how to make moon cakes, whenever we want to eat them, we always make them ourselves. The ingredients are delicious and there are no additives, so we are particularly relieved to eat them. So today, I'm going to share with you this kind of ice-skinned moon cake that my family likes. It tastes particularly good. Please try it for friends who like it.

The specific steps are as follows:

Step 1: The materials we prepared are: glutinous rice flour 9g, sticky rice flour 8g, clarified flour 4g, milk 37g, sugar 7g, corn oil 4g and a proper amount of cooked glutinous rice flour.

step 2: pour the milk, corn oil and sugar into a dish and stir well, then stir the sugar to dissolve, then add the glutinous rice flour, sticky rice flour and orange flour, and stir well.

Step 3: After stirring, sieve it once, and then let it stand for 3 minutes.

Step 4: It's almost time to stand. Let's prepare a bigger pot, add a proper amount of water, put it on a shelf, then put the mixed paste in, cover the surface with a plate to prevent the water vapor from flowing back, and then cover the lid. After the water is boiled, steam it for 2 minutes. This is the mooncake skin with ice skin.

Step 5: In these 2 minutes, prepare the stuffing. Today, we make two kinds of stuffing: red bean paste and milk yellow stuffing, and knead the stuffing into a small ball of 25g. This is measured according to the mold you prepared. Mine is a mold with a finished moon cake weight of 5g.

Step 6: Ok, the crust of the moon cake in the pot is steamed. Take it out, stir it with chopsticks until it is smooth, and stir it in one direction for about ten minutes.

Step 7: After the skin of the ice-covered moon cake is stirred, pour it into a flat-bottomed dish, with a layer of plastic wrap on the bottom of the dish, and then spread it out and cool it.

Step 8: After the skin of the ice-covered moon cake is cooled, we divide it into small balls of 25g. You can adjust the amount of stuffing and skin according to your favorite taste, as long as it does not exceed the weight set by your mold.

Step 9: Pour a little cooked glutinous rice flour into the dish. Now, start making mooncakes with ice crust. Squeeze the crust, wrap it in stuffing and knead it into a round ball.

Step 1: Knead the rounded cake, roll it with a layer of cooked glutinous rice flour, then knead it into an oval shape, put it into a 5g mold, press-form it, and demould it.

Step 11: Because the finished mooncakes are soft, everyone must prepare mooncake boxes before making them, and put them directly into the boxes after making them.

Step 12: After all is done, put it in the fresh-keeping compartment of the refrigerator and refrigerate it for about 3 hours before eating. This way, it tastes cool and ice-cold, and it won't harden after a few days. However, it will harden after a long time because there is no additive, so it is recommended to eat as much as you want, and it is not good for your health.

This homemade ice-covered moon cake is ready. Friends who like it will try it. It's delicious without getting angry. It's very suitable for the elderly and children at home. Our whole family likes this kind of ice-covered moon cake very much.
