How to raise succulents in potted plants (knowledge sharing in succulent potted plants)
The maintenance methods of succulents are different from other annual and perennial shrubs and green plants. Succulents are very drought-tolerant, easy to care for and have different shapes. If I have a pot, I want to raise more pots. However, after a summer, there are basically few pots at home. Pay attention to the following eight maintenance items.

1. Select robust and cold-resistant succulents.

There are many varieties of succulents, so novices can choose some plants that are hardy and very good at adapting to the environment, such as common succulents of Sedum or Eupatorium.

Choosing cold-tolerant plants does not mean that these succulents can be maintained for a long time under extreme conditions, and succulents with thick cortex can be raised, such as twelve rolls of hard leaves.

2. Full direct light

Many plants and flowers can't get much sunlight, but succulents need as much sunlight as possible to grow well. However, when the temperature is too high in summer, it is necessary to shade properly. When the temperature is high, the sunshine in the afternoon is particularly toxic. You should pull a sunshade net or move to a semi-shady place to avoid excessive exposure.

In fact, summer is the hardest time for meat. When the temperature exceeds 33 degrees, plus strong direct light, the leaves of plants are easily damaged, which is why many flower lovers' fleshy flowers hang easily in summer. In summer, in addition to proper shading, the fallen leaves at the bottom and roots of the basin should also be cleaned up in time.

3. Soil selection

Some friends think that succulents can be planted directly with sand. In fact, succulents need good drainage, but it is not a good choice to cultivate succulents directly with pure sand. If the drainage is too good, the water will be lost quickly when poured into the sand, so the roots of succulents will not absorb water.

You can choose the soil for planting cactus, or use peat soil mixed with perlite, or add river sand appropriately. This kind of soil has good drainage, porosity and air permeability.

4. The difference between succulents and cactus plants

Personally, I think succulents are actually different from cacti. Most cacti are considered as succulents, and cactus leaves are classified as succulents. what do you think?

Common succulents include succulents of Lycopodium, Sedum, Euphorbia, Perennial, Lotus, Sedum, Graptopetalum and Hop.

Succulents and cacti are not the same thing. Most cacti are considered succulents, but some are not. Not all succulents are cacti. These will include succulents of Lycopodium, Sedum, Euphorbia, Perennial, Lotus, Sedum, Cruciferae and twelve volumes.

5. Weather that succulents can adapt to

The adaptability of succulents to the environment is still relatively good. The succulents you buy must first understand their own needs for the environment. The maintenance methods of different succulents are slightly different, but the maintenance methods are similar.

Succulents don't like places that are too wet. To keep ventilation, the temperature should be above 5 degrees, and it should be placed in the outdoor environment in summer, with proper shade. When the temperature is below zero, it is easy to get frostbite, while succulents can only grow at low temperature for a short time, which easily leads to leaf frostbite and temperature decay in a continuous cold environment.

6. About succulent plant poisoning

There are many succulents to eat, but you must avoid eating them by mistake. Many succulents are poisonous, while others are poisoned only when ingested in large quantities, especially succulents of Euphorbiaceae. The succulents of this family are poisonous, such as common unicorn palm, general column, thorn plum and so on.

7. Basin soil drainage

In addition to shading in summer and preventing cold in winter, the most important thing for succulents is drainage from basin soil, and water is the main cause of succulents' death.

The flowerpot for raising succulents should be loose, breathable and well drained. The soil needs loose and well-drained sand, and some granular stones should be added to the bottom of the pot to avoid soil blockage. Check whether the soil is dry before watering the succulents.

8. The key to maintaining ventilation

Maintaining succulents requires a particularly well-ventilated environment to keep the air fresh. Succulents can't grow well in a closed environment, which is why I don't recommend keeping succulents indoors.

In a poorly ventilated environment, water cannot be transpiration, and mold is easy to breed, which will lead to root rot or leaf rot of succulents.

The soil also needs good drainage, and stagnant water in the roots can also lead to root rot. In addition, be careful not to use glass containers to raise meat, and don't plant meat directly by the window, otherwise the leaves will burn easily.
