Expository text introduces a thing

The following is an explanatory text I wrote to introduce a thing:

Everyone must know what a cactus is! However, every time I observe a cactus, I always get a shock for some reason.

The cactus is covered in a green coat, and the top and bottom of the green coat are covered with sharp thorns, which are more terrifying than thorns at first glance. There are several prickly pears around my cactus, which makes the cactus more beautiful and majestic, just like the stars over the moon, turning the cactus into a greater person. Cacti are very beautiful when they bloom, with red petals filled with yellow pollen. The little balls around me will also bloom small purple flowers. Every time the flowers bloom, my family is always full of praise.

Cactus has many functions. The skin of cactus can make the skin more refreshing. Cacti can also protect against radiation and can be used as flowers to decorate houses. I have a love-hate relationship with cacti.

When I was a child, I was full of curiosity when I saw the cactus. I really wanted to go up and touch it, but my parents stopped me. Finally one time, I boldly stepped forward and touched the cactus. As soon as I touched the sharp thorns, my hands were already covered with small red bumps. At that time, I was full of fear and hatred of cacti. In summer, mosquitoes gave me red envelopes one after another. My mother gave me some cactus skin, and I carefully rubbed it on the itchy area. Unexpectedly, the itching stopped. I fell in love with cacti again.

Looking at the cacti that can grow tenaciously without watering for a month, I thought of those mountain village builders who took root in mountain villages and built them. Like cacti, they selflessly built in a harsh environment. They worked hard in the mountain village without complaining. Not only that, they also allowed their sons and daughters to complete the mission of building the mountain village.

I admire the tenacious life of the cactus, and even more admire the hard-working builders!
