Storage time of Pleurotus ostreatus
Mushrooms are fungi and have a short life cycle. Although different varieties have different storage time, they usually don't last long. Just put them in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Cold storage can only weaken the respiration of fruits and vegetables, delay their decay rate and extend the shelf life, but it will eventually deteriorate.
The storage time of fresh Pleurotus ostreatus at room temperature is greatly influenced by temperature and air humidity. When the room temperature is 3-5℃ and the air relative humidity is about 80%, fresh Pleurotus ostreatus can be stored for one week. When there are few mushrooms, you can put Pleurotus ostreatus in a jar and seal the jar mouth with a small amount of cold water. Even if the temperature reaches 15- 16℃, it can be stored for about a week. You can also completely soak the Pleurotus ostreatus in cold water, but the water must be clean and hygienic, and the iron content of the water should not exceed 2mg per liter, so that the Pleurotus ostreatus will not turn black.
