Isakovsky was born in a poor family in Smolensk Oblast and had personal experience and feelings about the poverty of Russian farmers before the October Revolution. He loved the poems of the great Russian poets Pushkin, Nekrasov, Koltsov and Nikitin since he was a child.
In the primary school graduation exam, he recited two poems he had written - "Saints" and "Lermontov". The teachers, priests and local officials present praised him repeatedly and could not help but praise him. Don't look at this poor boy with admiration.
Later, the song "Red Plum Blossoms Bloom" was created.
