There is not much we can do, but every move will play a vital role in establishing and maintaining the image of our country. As ordinary people, all we can do is go to work when we should, go to school when we should, and do our jobs well. Don't go to the streets and smash Japanese cars, even the car owners, just to express what you think are correct patriotic sentiments, like the Diaoyu Islands incident a few years ago. That's not patriotic, that's stupidity.
Many of the brands currently suspected of insulting China or disrespecting our country’s territorial sovereignty are European and American clothing and luxury brands that we are familiar with. They have already penetrated into many people’s lives, and it is not unusual to buy their products. When we shop, we don’t reject foreign brands just because they are foreign. Therefore, it is unreasonable to blindly boycott them now, because many foreign brand products are manufactured in China, and the most direct impact of not buying their products may be the workers in Chinese factories.
We can just wait and see what happens now. We don’t need to be harsh on those brands that have recognized their mistakes and actively corrected them. As a large and ancient civilization, we don’t need to catch them. Don't let go of other people's mistakes. As our saying goes, "If you know you've made a mistake, correct it, and there's nothing good you can do." If we are faced with a sincere apology and rectification, we can accept it calmly, and we can continue to get along well with each other.
Of course there are also some stubborn brands. All we ordinary people can do is not to buy them and boycott them. This is enough to show our attitude. As for the resistance, there will be official organization, so there is no need for people to take to the streets to protest for the time being. And we must not act impulsively and patriotic. The shops on the street are run by Chinese people, and the losses caused are also borne by the Chinese people. We cannot do such stupid things.
