The "Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" came into effect on June 1, 2009. It has been revised twice in 2015, 2018, and 2021. The 2021 revised version has been revised since 2015. It came into effect on October 1, 2019, and aims to ensure food safety and protect public health and life safety. The newly revised "Food Safety Law" is known as the "strictest" food law in history, because compared with the old version of the "Food Safety Law", the new law not only stipulates the most stringent supervision throughout the process, but also formulates the most severe penalties, such as Those who produce and trade food without a license are fined at least 50,000 yuan; those who produce and trade food that exceeds the shelf life are fined at least 50,000 yuan. In the old version of the Food Safety Law, the minimum fine for the above violations was 2,000 yuan. While the new law is conducive to severely cracking down on food safety violations, it also puts forward new requirements for food inspection and law enforcement. How to implement the new law in specific law enforcement is an important task faced by front-line food inspection and law enforcement personnel.
