Maybe Welcome to Dongmo Village
During the Korean War, there was a remote mountain village called "Dongmo" near Gangwon Province. The people there are isolated from the outside world and live a self-sufficient life in a paradise. They don't even know about the war happening outside.
Pyo Hyun-cheol (played by Shin Ha-kyun) of the Korean National Army is a deserter. He is so disgusted with the war that he even thought of committing suicide. Fortunately, Pyo Hyun-cheol did not commit suicide when he was seen by the cowardly health worker Moon Sang-sang (played by Xu Jae-kyung) who was left behind. They walked together and came to Dongmo Village. At the same time, Lieutenant Li Xiuhua (played by Zheng Zaiyong), veteran Zhang Rongxi (played by Lin Helong) and young soldier Xu Zeji of the Korean People's Army also came to Dongmo Village. Before that, the American pilot Captain Smith (played by Stephen Teichler) also came to Dongmo Village because of a plane crash.
When soldiers from North Korea and South Korea met, the situation was tense. The Korean soldiers held grenades and prepared to detonate them because there were no bullets in their guns, while the North Korean soldiers pointed their guns at them. Among them are a group of simple villagers. The villagers thought they were performing some kind of ritual and laughed as usual in the middle. After a night of standoff, Moon Sang-sang was so sleepy that he detonated a grenade. The grenade was thrown into a granary not far away, and all the corn in the granary turned into popcorn.
