This situation is not death.
A snail dry on the wall usually does not mean it is dead. Snails are terrestrial molluscs that crawl on walls, floors and other surfaces using mucus and muscle movement. When a snail stays on a wall, it is because it is looking for food, resting or escaping from outside disturbances. Snails usually stay on the wall for a while and then move on.
The body structure of snails allows them to survive in dry environments for periods of time, but they are more adapted to moist environments. If a snail is exposed to dry walls for an extended period of time, it can lead to dehydration and eventually death. Therefore, while protecting the snails, a moist environment and appropriate food supply should be provided as much as possible.
